Can you use olive oil in Asian cooking?
Yes, you can but remember olive oil has a lower smoking point so it is difficult to get it super-hot. But I have used olive oil for stir-frying veggies with garlic.
Have you described making Char Koay Chow at any time? This is our favourite dish from when we lived in Penang.
