He’s from the tree of Pep, who actively tries to take randomness/chaos out of football. Great breakdown though. They were a year ahead of schedule in 2022-2023, and they haven’t progressed much from that season. Not sure where they go from here

The analysis here is spot on-maybe he’s become too rigid, too cautious, or too reliant on certain players. As much as I respect him for what he’s done, I want to see Arsenal truly challenge for top honors consistently.

Maresca is different from Pep, and he himself said he has work and learned under different managers, and from all ideas gained, he is doing his own style. The invented full back style we saw with Poch as well, but Maresca's idea is being understood well by the players, and injuries haven't been an issue like before.

The previous Chelsea managers under this new ownership have had the luxury of a massive budget, but weren’t able to create a tactically functional squad quick enough. Maybe Maresca has benefitted from those transfers, but he also brought in quality signings in Neto and took a chance on Sancho who looks good. All in short, he might be the guy

The fact that the only bad thing about his game is his inconsistent finishing is actually good. His link up play and movement around the back line is awesome. Inconsistent finishing comes down to confidence, we can see he can finish, just needs time, support and encouragement. Maresca seems to be great at getting the best out of him and lately we've seen really great finishes from him. Just give him time.
