After beating the campaign, you get a mission called Wild Card for just doing quests in the pale heart at the end of that mission. When you defeat the boss, you get the cutscene

@Got30seconds No. It's still Cayde-6. He's a construct in the light who didn't see anything that happened over the time period from Forsaken to now. If Cayde was actually now called Cayde-7, he would have been rebooted, resulting in TOTAL memory loss.

I don’t think Bungie will wants to pay Nathan Fillion’s salary for episodes. since he told Crow he’s the new HV, I’d bet $100 bucks this is Nathan’s last performance as Cayde. I’m guessing he either dies saving Crow, or he sacrifices himself by using his fancy new traveler/ghost light construct body to fix our broken and dying ghost. As it stands, Ghost is going to die any moment now unless something or someone intervenes. Since Cayde doesn’t seem to be too thrilled with being brought back without Sundance, my money is on handsome heroic sacrifice.

He should be pretty much able to go back to the city assuming that Riven didn't twist Crow's desires in a sadistic way. All in all he can learn to use the darkness the same way Osiris and Zavala (currently) did upon losing their light so he isn't defenseless either. What they said might be true though, paying the voice actor on an episodic basis may be a bit too costy but I doubt that means they will kill him again

Yeah, the reason they shot there because I said "guys don't shoot or talk this is a serious moment & when I said that, they shot.

Zavala still is a tactical commander. He also was on the ground in the final boss, even with Targe gone.

Maybe Saint will be back as Commander. But I don't see that happening. He already had a conversation with Zavala about passing on his duty to him.

Sloane could succeed him as commander, but it would be risky since she was nearly taken.
