Once in an older time I spoke a vacant rhyme, in deserts distance great where no one heard me say, no one heard.
I was found in a golden town kneeling on the ground
With my arms stretched out begging for a different kind of wealth.
The daily pill was bitter so I covered it with sugar,
now my ignorance is blissful and I know everything.
A dying friend said the sighing trees brought back the music to her dreams, and when she closed her eyes she woke up from her pain,
her body young again.
So I believe in imagination
What we perceive is of our own making.
The birds have stopped
The sea has frozen up and all the fish are stuck
But in my mind I'm soaring seas of deepest green,
All the places I have been.
So I believe in imagination
What we perceive is of our own making.
