It was never a beach, that was part of the 2nd phase of Eko Atlantic. The sand was going to cover that part eventually.

Landmark Resort was a really special place at its peak, but the beach existed as a result of the Eko Atlantic City breakwater that was created years ago by South EnergyX, with the end goal of having it sandfilled as part of Eko Atlantic City's phase III. The beach was always meant to be temporary, but I sincerely hope Mr Onwuanibe comes up with another wonderful idea to attract visitors to Landmark Resort again.

You are far from saying the truth, Lagos beaches are not erased according to your “heading”. Lagos beaches extends far beyond Land Mark area. Lagos still have very long stretches of beaches along the coastline. You don’t just give sensational heading. The Coastal Road is for the benefits of the entire Nigerians as against the business interests of few people.

Where have you been

It is quite sad and ridiculous what happened to our big beaches which serves our compatriots returning from abroad for Christmas. What we have now are poorly developed and amateurish beaches compared to what exists in other (West) African countries. Nothing compares to the erstwhile bevy of advanced beaches that were demolished by Tinubu for his wild-goose chase of a white elephant project called Lagos-Calabar Coastal highway. Landmark and Oniru Beach Resorts were peerless in beauty and priceless in value. We will live to regret that single ill-advised action by Tinubu. The federal government should have taken a different route, direction or axis for the coastal highway project or better still, construct an elevated flyover on that portion of the shoreline to preserve our best beaches which rake in huge foreign exchange revenues annually from foreign tourists. Tinubu is so daft, stubborn and self-conceited that he does not listen to superior advice from others, only his own myopic thoughts. That is why he has stuck with most of his brash and hasty policies that have taken the country backwards and many years behind, totally erasing our economic gains of over two decades ago.

Welcome back 🎉 Shame most of our leaders have absolutely no clue about the concept of QUALITY OF LIFE (the Works Minister actually referred to the beach cabanas and furniture as “shanties” 🤦‍♀️). WORST aspect of it is that with a little route realignment (in fact, sticking to the ORIGINAL route alignment), it could’ve been a win-win situation for all, with the beaches and the road project existing alongside each other. SMH

You guys have been in Europe then l guess.lt's cold here at the moment, better to be in Nigeria than Europe.😅Even without the road,the government would still have reclaimed that whole area.The sea was gradually taking Victoria lsland,without the reclamation Victoria Island would be gone in few years..Nice one,thank you.❤

All these Estates springing up & about in Nigeria. One never sees the substructure Infrastructure plans like coping with drainages, human & solid waste plans. It begs to question the long time viability especially as they are mostly built on flood plains.

I stayed here 3 weeks ago, and I agree with your sentiments. We had the rooms with the pool but our kids didnt come with us. This resort is fun for families with younger kids under 10. They need to do a better job of keeping the beach clean. Also, the ATVs didn't work properly. I just hope they up the maintenance.

Ik geniet echt van deze vlogs, heel mooi om te zien.

Need to construct connect rd and better clean up at the beech. The resort looks good but better environmental management is required.

Long time no see

People complaining here are not aware that that in Lagos, people build first before they get roads. Allocations are made for new roads every year. It is turn by turn. The beach will get its road when it is its turn.

The road is a mess. So much bad roads in Lagos especially on the Island.

See how the roads look like? How can some be attracted to visit a resorts where the route will stress you before you get there? Lagos state government need to step up their games this is unacceptable.
