I mean I can relate to this a lot. I have about a 1.2 k/d, and this is the first CoD I’ve played consistently in about 6 years after playing the competitive side consistently from starting in BO2-BO4. So my 1.2 is all based off prior games tendencies. Even when I get kills the most advanced movement I do is a slide cancel. My lessened reaction time compared to my younger years is much less. But the lobbies I get in pubs a lot of times will be much of what you described Competitively I like the game mechanics and gunplay but holy Jesus these maps are not good. But honestly I know people hated on Xdefiant and Ubisoft, for a lot of good reasons. But the one thing that game had was a developer in Mark Rubin who actually communicated with the community, listened, and ultimately got shafted by his parent company as Ubisoft has quickly killed games in the past. Treyarch needs a developer like Rubin or how Vanderhaar was back in the day when he was in charge of MP

crazy thing is they had 4 years to make this game, I blame Treyarch for the game being just bad in general. But all the problems with the skill based mm, the skill based hit reg which is the biggest issue, and the tick rate servers are all activision just cutting corners to maximize profit. i can throw on cod and just destroy the lobbies no matter what, I don't really mind the sbmm, the main issue to me is the game is just bad. I don't think that people are upset about the sbmm as much as the fact that the game is horrible. Maps are terrible, spawns are bad, time to kill is instant feels like hardcore, you're dying to grenades killstreaks noob tubes campers 1 shot (0 skill snipers/1 shot assault rifles for some reason) youre stepping over shock trip wires like its genuinely brain dead. It really just feels like its catering to tiktok brain rot for 10 year old ipad kids who have a 2 second attention span. Cod should be Cod, Gun v Gun everything else equal, no skill based hit register and maps that allow for you to actually play the damn game. everything with Treyarch always has to be so over the top it just starts to feel like an arcade game and even when youre doing well it doesnt even feel fun because the killstreaks are lame and maps are so ass you'll probably just have someone spawn in front of you to kill you off a streak anyways

the skill based damage does NOT exist, btw... It's mainly the servers are garbage, like you're seeing in the game is a literally different than what your opponent sees... You mgiht notice in kill cams, like you hit shots but they didn't receive any, or you dived but it doesn't show it, etc... And beyond that, it's just you know a hardware battle among pc users, like framerate, and internet speed, etc... But ya, and these real issues that are because the COD franchise doesn't invest in higher quality servers for their games and it is annoying that like even in 2024 like some people are going to have a better connection to the server host than others and it's suuuuper noticable once you realize that's what's happening. Like in ranked I'll use the jackal and just melt people one game, and then next game I lose every gun fight and so ya often the winning team is decided by this...

Ya'll have pretty high expectations from a $70 game. It's easily worth $70 of entertainment. Stop complaining. It costs less than a steak dinner and you get thousands of hours of play from it...

Is it a real problem if they keep getting multimillonaire profits out of casuals (around 90% or 70% of their sales) who don’t care about famous people and old school COD fans opinions as well as they get profits from nostalgic old school COD fans who keep getting dissapointed even after more than a decade but somehow still manage to waste 60$ on that same franchise every year that has been dissapointing them for over 1/3 or half of their lifetime? I mean, if you and a lot of people keep buying they’ll do the bare mínimum for 1 or 2 year profits and when the game starts losing profits again by the end of the year they’ll just make a not do expensive or cheap enough game designed to have a 1 year lifespan and to bait anybody into buy it so fans addicted to the feeling of being dissapointed (like you) and casuals make them get multimillonaire profits again. Idk, I thought we had this figured out by idk, 8 years ago? I can’t really comprehend why you all nostalgic old fans keep buying it when your opinion doesn’t matter to Activision and neither to their actual young/casual public anymore.

it is vital especially for men to learn how to fight so they can protect not only themselves but their loved ones, but most importantly it teaches them the reality of violence and how to avoid fights where possible but it give them confidence in their ability if a fight is unavoidable

my main issue with new years resolutions is the concept of waiting for a specific date to start chasing a goal rather than starting straight away, for example if someone started chasing their new years resolution now imagine how much closer they would be to attaining that goal on january 1st

I went to community college and now I'm going to get my 4 year at a small state school. I worked during that time at cc and saved up some money and I'm privileged enough to have my parents help me so I should be graduating debt free. I think there are many ways to do it right you just gotta plan it out.

If college is an available option for you, you should strongly consider it. It's not even an opportunity for many people. They would kill to switch places with you. Experience IS more important that education these days, but my 4 year degree included a student employee position and two six month internships... Most degrees do.

This game got so much hate at the time, me included. But looking back, I had a ton of fun on this game, it easily trumps any recent cod for me (New MW series, cold war and bo6) It suffered from having near perfect predecessors. Excluding Ghosts i guess. For some reason the number 1 thing I remember from this era and feel odd nostalgia towards, was when Lizard Squad attacked PSN on Christmas Day.
