As 2021 comes to a close, I've been reflecting on what it's been like being a doctor during COVID19. I created this beatbox retrospective to capture the past 2 years in 2min & 20sec with synchronized timestamps (while repping my Cedars-Sinai hospital hat). The track ends with my hopes for '22. I was thinking about how to beatbox for the holidays and the snare drum from "Little Drummer Boy" popped into my head. That inspired me to create this holiday beatbox track I call "Spirits." Starts with a snare drum and then adds some vocals, snare, and kick drum. Hope you enjoy!
Whipsaw (loop station beatbox track)

For this track I lay down a "whoosing" sound, add a delay effect, and dial up and down the millisecond delay to achieve the melody. Drop at 43 seconds is one of my favorites so far on the loop station; it results from lowering the delay to 1ms and adding a few other effects. I added the four-part harmony at the end as a reminder that this is all vocal, albeit with overlaid effects. Hope it gets...

Been playing around with the RC505 and discovered a siren sound using a combination of granular delay and flanger effects on top of "tk" beatbox snare. For this track I use granular delay to create the electro-xylophone at the start, combination of EQ and filter for the vocal kick and "pf" snare to support drum kit, and combo of reverb, flanger, and vocal distortion for the nasty drop at 1'17"....

Playing around with my new loop station and stumbled upon this rhythm. I'm a professor by day and a very amateur beatboxer by night, so this is a work in progress (I also need to figure out how to sync sound and visuals). Requires headphones to hear the bass and the nasty Lo-Fi drop at 1'23", otherwise can't hear bass and drop sounds like static. Hope you enjoy with headphones!

I read a few articles about your theory on IBS and gravity intolerance. Since I read this it made me pay more attention. When I lie down for extended periods I feel much worse (gut pain). I was diagnosed with IBSD a year ago. Rebounding has really helped me.
