Why are prime movers favored over articulated lorries? We seldom employ prime mover trucks in the U.S.; part of the load is almost always carried on the rear axles of the tractors.

Won't be long before these are sent to the front in Ukraine.

one of the most beautiful WW2 tanks worldwide museum, anyway 2 things are disturbing me ( specially when you know how precise, respect and correct side of Switzerland People's are ) : - Why they are always outside ? please make a building to preserve them ! - why all are "flowers pots", I mean whay they are not in working condition : as they are today in Saumur, Bovington or Aussie Armor museum ? money problem to restore ? in Swiss ? i don't believe... thanks for sharing, take care, gruss : )

Visited this museum in the 1980's its one of the best museums I have ever visited.

I wrote an article on this museum for ‘Autoweek’ back in the 80s when this was called the Auto und Technik Museum. Back then the cars were inside and the military equipment was lined up outside. The cars were okay but much of the military stuff was new to me. One staff car had a holster for a pistol inside on the driver’s door, with a Luger still in it! The one thing I’ll never forget is that all the German mechanized equipment was developed independently and with zero common parts. While oil filters and ignition parts were universal on Shermans, they were not interchangeable on German armor; even different models of the same tank would have differing parts. This individuality made it much more difficult to keep German equipment running while American equipment could be kept running by scavenging parts from damaged vehicles.

Cool tour. I know it's a German museum, so it's all in German, but seeing "Panzer T 34" at 14:10 was still very odd, since anything "panzer" is German to us English speakers. ;) Also, I know it'd be a bunch of work, but if you put a label in the video for a couple of seconds on each vehicle you focused on, it'd be useful and give it a museum-like feel. Just a thought.

Из воспоминаний одного нациста: после попадания фугаса, пол танка отвалилось, так как Броня на заклёпках, и он, командир танка, выпал на улицу, с посечённым осколками брони лицом.

What an ugly way to display a Panther. Surely there is a better way?

Nice video.The museum finally removed this console where visitors put money into it.The Panther then moved the tracks and the turret.I always found it strange that Sinsheim exhibited a Panther tank as a toy.

it's nice to see those still in their G13 configuration. Awhile back I heard a lot of those were made to look like German Hetzers, so I never thought a G13 would pop up in my feed

This is really cool. I live up in Pismo Beach, California and I had no idea this was down in LA! I build a lot of scale armor and dioramas.I can't wait to come.Take a tour and get some actual reference material!

Sadly alot of these old vehicles would end up as range targets. I recall doing direct fire on Gamma Goats and M41's at Camp Roberts, California in 1992 with our M119 Howitzers.
