Yeah; it’s a shame many employers don’t truly value work-life balance; instead they discourage employees from taking mental health days or extended maternity leaves because it hampers “productivity”. And there’s a risk associated with taking time off; you get labeled as “a liability” which usually means a layoff is in the near future. So folx tend to overwork themselves out of fear that they’ll be replaced otherwise. And this “do or get replaced” mentality carries over into personal relationships as well. This leads to immense burnout because of the lack of boundaries. But we have to have the courage to set those boundaries; no one can set them for us✨

@@aseathompson I agree with you about boundaries. Employees and employers need to have boundaries accepting what they want and not accepting what they don't want. That way there will be more job satisfaction as employers and employees are matched on their requirements.
