It's beautiful❤
It’s so pretty <3
This happened to me last year snowboarding from the top ridge trying to find Valhalla with a couple other riders
Reminds me of some of the views way up at Sugarloaf!
@@mybadvideos Yeah I’ve been wanting to head to the “alpine” area at sugarloaf for a few seasons now (even saddleback), but they’re just FAR
skiing in the clouds, that's so cool

Face Chutes and lines off the Ridge would beg to differ ;)
@@mybadvideos 😂 steepest “non-glade”run then I guess-face chutes were closed when I visited (not that I would have done them if they were open😅)
Literally one of the most beautiful places. That view from the top of the summit chair is incredible.
@@thechitownclown8972 I Agree!!!
Yeah for sure one of the most beautiful run and not only in the east❤
You should try jay peaks water park it’s amazing

come to le valinouet next time there's way bigger drops if that's what you're looking for
@@michaelkuster960 I KNOW!!! I’ve heard it gets insane snow, but it’s like 9 hours away from me😭😭😭
@@theroadnottakentravel ho yeah 9h is a pretty long ride hahaha it's like 25 min from me
With stuff like this I can see how they host a fwq freeride event!
@@mybadvideoslove your channel btw! This liftline run was cool, but Orford’s glades are even crazier, I even found them comparable to Jay! Filmed them in a previous video on the channel
@@theroadnottakentravel have you been over to Mont Sutton? I want to get back there when they have everything open
@@mybadvideos no I only did Owls Head and Orford this trip, as it was a last minute decision last march timed with a big storm that missed the Ottawa area and hit VT and QC. In hindsight, we should have picked Sutton over owls head for the first day, where a 1-2 feet of snow ended up falling!
Uhm I just saw myself in this video-
@@oceadiuli2723 😆 where were you?
@@theroadnottakentravelit was when you had the camera on Allen’s alley
Were you there today or yesterday?
@@oceadiuli2723 yesterday (Saturday)
i'M THERE ALMOST ECVERY DAY. SKI PATROL HATES ME
@ DAMN I’ve only been there twice so far its been open only 3 days for now
@@oceadiuli2723 haha nice!

I can’t subscribe again if I’m already subscribed sorry man
Sorry man, nothing beat the Contour or the glades on Orford
@@Jean-p2e7i i skied them in another video, chevreuil and pass de lours glades at orford were INSANE!!!

My season is starting next weekend! Unfortunately my GoPro MAX that I ordered is stuck with the postal strike so it probably wont arrive on time.. I guess its the Hero 10 for now!
@@EmbarkWithChris nice! The max should be a big improvement. I’m still using the hero 9, which is pretty decent, but there’s something about that max/insta360 frame view that’s looks super nice!!!
@ agreed!
Its just as nice in winter.
why in the world would you take your skis off there? great if you wanna slip and slide straight into a big sharp rock
@@zacharylaroza1124 we just followed what the local skiier was doing, it was his advice😭😅
@@zacharylaroza1124 I’m assuming the tires were put on this rock drop because it’s exposed to sun and must see thin cover with rocks, so I guess people just side-slip down the tires as some runs have them in BC??? No clue
@@theroadnottakentravel I'd have kept em on and slipped around somehow instead of taking off yr only source of traction
but I don't recall having taken this route through this particular area (Orford's off-piste area is pretty vaguely marked and defined, it's just trees and the occasional chute or snowfield)
@@zacharylaroza1124 Yeah there was a junction before the tires, and I turned left for passe-de-lours, with the glade on the right being chevreuil (both double blacks). I definitely want to return and ski these glades in better conditions this yr!
This is exactly how I remember Orford : Rocky... and sharky hahaha
I was honestly surprised at how well the coverage was, as the only thing keeping it skiable was the foot of fresh snow that had fallen the day before! But keep in mind last szn was a bad snow year, so I’m sure this run can get even better when conditions hit!
@theroadnottakentravel oh I've seen it with much more snow, but even with a real deep snow coverage, this resort is sharky!
I live there ❤
what resort? I ski at whitetail... Abysmal
@@snowsnsends Sommet st sauver near Montreal. This was actually the first resort to open in the east coast mid November (tied with Killington)
Was going to go last weekend. Got the cheap annual pass for just 349$+tx
@@yuyangwu5608 nice! It was my first time skiing there, but it’s a great resort, similar price to my season pass as well!

have you been up to Tremblent yet?
@@EmbarkWithChris was supposed to go up yesterday, but my friend and I chose St Sauver instead because it was 40$ for 1 open run, Tremblant was 99$ for two runs with low vis💀
@ I’d do the same! Blue Mountain here opens on the 12th.. an hour north of me has been hit with 60-100cm of snow in the last 4 days
@@EmbarkWithChris yeah my local hill opens it’s smallest lift this Friday, but the biggest runs won’t be open until the 27th. Too bad no hills were open in the Muskoka area, they got dumped on!
@@theroadnottakentravel yes they got so much snow! about an hour/half north of me! First laps for me next weekend!!
Woah
You are a good skier, I did all those runs and it’s nice to see while I’m relaxing by the fire.
