I really like all the new coaching changes that are really making a difference. Head coach, OC, Offensive line. What are your thoughts about DC. I wish we would have let Shane bring in DC and new Def. Team. I feel like we have good talent on the Defensive side of the ball but are not aggressive or modern enough. Baltimore isn't over the Colts. I'm not over it. The difference is Baltimore was working with the Colts and the Colts promised they wouldn't leave and then left the very next day. Then kept our records, colors and the shoe which to this day symbolizes Baltimore, that's why we refer to the Indy Colts only as the Colts. I wouldn't even want something that's not from my city. Anyways, Cleveland was not working with the Browns and the Browns was trying to get a new stadium for years. They told Cleveland they would leave and when they would leave and they they will keep everything. Oh and that's after Baltimore tried several times to get an expansion team and got screwed over when the NFL gave smaller market cities teams over us when we had everything including a stadium.

Manning way better than elway. Barry sanders also better than jim brown. Not only that, did you forget Elway screwed your franchise over?

Shaq's situation harkens me back to the summer of 2019. I'm not optimistic that he'll ever approach his earlier level of play. He's a proud man that won't hang on if he can't return to being The Maniac. I really, really hope I'm wrong.

Steichen, Cooter and Turner collectively should be able to develop Hooker into something akin to Jalen Hurts. May take a year of taking lumps while he learns, but Hooker has the talent to work with and pay dividends.

Yes Chap. Ballard said the Colts would "get the best player in this Draft @ #4". Edge or Corner at #4, then parlay #35 into Hooker. Might be smart to use #35 to move back into the late 1st round in order to have the 5th year for the QB deal.

If the Colts do want Bubba to stay, he'd be foolish to opt for Cleveland. IMO. Things are going to start being fun again this season.

If we trade Buck, Dayo could very well become our regular 3-tech. Basically the same body-type. Our 2023 1st, Buck and Kenny might get it done. Might not have to give up our 2024 first rounder to get it done. Eberflus' background with Moore and Buck carries a lot of weight. Buck is in the same league as Georgia's DT Carter, but proven in the NFL. With #4 the Bears could take Will Anderson and have him and Buck on the d-line. Pretty good. The more I think about it the more I like the idea. Dayo is a better 3-tech than edge rusher, anyway.

This nightmare season is probably going to prove to be exactly what this team needed to finally break the 'spell' they've been under since Luck quit on the team. Pretty much a reboot, and Chris Ballard gets the wake-up call that he was failing at his job. He's too good for that. I expect he and his staff to work around the clock over the next months to return this team to competitive stature. It's darkest just before the dawn.

Peyton was famous for getting to the line and checking out of a bad play. Does Ryan, with 14+ years experience, have the latitude to do something similar?

Critical analysis of the Colts decision makers. Chris Ballard needs to look at what is motivating his decisions. It seems Ballard is making decisions from a ‘Fear of Failure’ mindset, rather than from a visionary GM who sees himself with the Colts long term. For example,…..the hiring of Gus Bradley. I like to compare Gus Bradley to a TV dinner…..it will mostly fill you up, but ultimately leave you flavorless and unfulfilled. Ballard hired Gus Bradley because they thought his “scheme” would fit our talent. So, instead of taking a forward thinking approach to the DC position and trying to find a hungry, young up and comer, he brings in Bradley. This decision, to me, sums up where the Colts leadership is. Ballard does not want to shake the tree or blaze a progressive trail, he wants to settle for adequate. Maybe he knows Reich cannot manage pushback so Bradley’s generic brand was for the sake of Reich’s fragile mental health. I’m more surprised how the media is ‘shocked’ at how poor Bradley’s defense is performing. Don’t his career stats speak for themselves? I have so much more to say, but I’ll save these for future podcasts. Right now I’m just looking forward to watching Frank Reich bury his face in his play calling sheet while the Game is going on around him this Sunday.
