Great video boss! It is very said to see the tourist areas so quite, I believe and it is only my opinion that Aussies will not return to these areas like Kuta/legian in the numbers they once did. Once again in my opinion based on my travels to Bali over the years and as recently as October last year, Bali is no longer a cheap holiday destination. Accomodation is close to Australian prices, restaurant prices are not what they used to be and once service charge and tourist tax is applied prices are once again close to Aussie prices, Jetstar also hasn’t done there usual yearly sale for the last 2 years my whole family have been able to purchase flights for $350 return per person. Adding a tourist levy and visa on entry may be a disadvantage I know for myself that means I have to now pay $250 to get my family of 5 visa’s. On top of this the state of the economy in Australia is not doing so great interest rates are sky high and the cost of living is not good atm it does not allow families to have the disposable income they once had which allowed them to holiday overseas. This is only my opinion, I think that only a dramatic price drop is all areas is going to save places like Kuta and Legian but I also understand that businesses need to make money and they could be short on profit already.

G'day Achonk. I know Jalan Kubu Anyar well - it's the best route to get from DPS ✈️ to my accommodation at Jesen's Inn 2. I also use it as a quick way to get to Jerman Beach.

I actually like legian and kuta because it's pedestrian friendly compared to canggu

There has been a lot of people on TH-cam talking about the rubbish and the traffic which may have also affected the number of visitors. No December figures yet but November had 16% less tourists this year. The good news is that Russian, Indian and Chinese visitors are increasing and the year had around 20% more visitors than 2023.

I'm an Aussie living in the Philippines, and believe me mate, I see bad behavior by foreigners towards the locals almost every time I go out. went to Bali last November and this street has been favorite street of me and my partner. lot of memories in here. thank you for the video. we don't have much photo or video, but this vlog really cure our longing for Bali and kuta :-) we have song : sepanjang jalan kenangan, kita selalu bergandeng tangan :-)

G'day Achonk. Thanks for another mention. In one of your previous videos, you asked viewers if they had any theories on why Bali is quieter than usual. I believe one issue is many Australians are now choosing to holiday in Thailand because of the visa cost in Bali. Australians have to pay $50 AUD for a 30-day visa - that becomes rather expensive for a family. Compare that to Thailand where we don't need to obtain a visa. So it is free to enter. Furthermore, in Thailand we are permitted to stay for 60 days. I will still keep coming to Bali as I prefer it over Thailand. However plenty of Australians will make the switch and head to Thailand.
