Birmingham Safeguarding Adults Board
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 12 ก.ย. 2013
The Birmingham Safeguarding Adults Board (BSAB) was established to promote, inform and support multi agency safeguarding adults work.
In Birmingham we aim to safeguard and protect adults at risk so that they live a life free from abuse and neglect.
Safeguarding adults means helping adults at risk who need support from community care services to keep their independence, remain safe and exercise choice in their life.
We, the Birmingham Safeguarding Adults Board (BSAB), have agreed a Safeguarding Vision for Birmingham which is to:
Promote and protect individual human rights, independence and well-being and secure assurance that the persons thought to be at risk stays safe, are effectively safeguarded against abuse, neglect, discrimination, are treated with dignity and respect and enjoy a high quality of life.
ADASS Guidance supports the above as it too promotes that people should be able to live life free from harm within their communities.

Keith's story; a personal and touching film about hoarding The Birmingham Safeguarding Adults Board has produced a film to raise awareness of hoarding and to guide professionals on what kinds of interventions seem to work the best so that the people affected (both the person who hoards and other people whose lives this impacts upon) get the support that they need.
All power to you Keith for putting yourself out there and getting the help and support you needed. Very touching and inspirational :)
Is this a true story?
I'm struggling with it. As it's son I'm not convinced. Maybe overspent a little but not convinced it's financial abuse.
I have my money controlled and took and not allowed to buy something without asking for permission I went to charity shop spent 5 pounds so the carer cut up the top I bought and threatened to hit me calling me handicap and spat in my face and slapped me 😭
What physical help did Keith receive? Did he have people come in to move stuff? I’m becoming less and less able to move, to lift, to carry so who is going to help in that respect??
Thank you Keith and multi agency people. Very touching and helpful. Seems that uk’s round table multi agency is brilliant. Not like this is Australia
Thank you so much for talking about hiding
Well done Keith, thanks for sharing your experience to help others

Keith - you are AMAZING !!! Thank you for sharing your inspirational story with others so they know there is hope. :)

Like seriously the son wont come across this video anytime of his like??
It’s a real situation. Multiply it by 1000s. The film is role played.
I wonder why the two people who didn't like this video, disliked it?
sometimes you can't just fathom what goes in the heads of people
It's good to know you, Keith. A wonderful video shot with great compassion which I'm sure will open the door for many to follow.
