Nat Eliason | From Crypto To Copy: Exit Liquidity, Crypto Confidential & Writing Worthy Of Posterity
Nat Eliason is an absolute legend.
I’ve been subscribed to his newsletter, following his tweets, and listening to his interviews for what feels like years now.
He’s a prolific online writer who recently published his debut book, a memoir of a crypto side quest he spiralled deep down into which is serves as revelatory for the sheer insanity that is crypto. It’s meme coins, making loads of money, losing it, secret discord servers, exit liquidity and all the rest that foreshadows the same stuff happening now.
Crypto is back in the news, and therefore so is Nat’s book - Crypto Confidential - which is a must read if you want to get a sense for, or contribute to, the mania.
However, writing is Nat’s circulatory system, so we ended up speaking half about books and half about crypto. When you check out the episode, navigate the timestamps if you wanna skip the writing stuff and go straight to crypto.
Before I leave you with Nat, he’s got this tremendous call to action on his Substack that I wanted to share here…
“Among my strongest life goals is to write something worthy of outliving me”

Leith thinks Christopher Hitchens can't write? How would he know? Maybe he should look back on his own terrible and illiterate pieces in the Spectator, and ask himself if he is qualified to comment?
spicy
Peter Thiel gave JD Vance 15 million for his senate campaign. He also introduced Vance to Trump. Vance wrote the forward to Kevin Roberts book which publication was halted prior to the election. Peter Thiel is obviously a very intelligent person, you really think he was manipulated and just fell into Opus Dei? He is not any kind of a victim.
I have investigated Opus Dei for several months and have become disappointingly impressed at its power in today's political, social, and economic arenas. They are indirectly tied into other Catholic sympathizing organizations such as The Federalist Society, The Heritage Foundation, Citizens United, the Koch family, FOX Media, Tenet Media, Leonard Leo, and their ilk. The list could go on and on because they each have associated organizations that splinter off of them such that it is very difficult to trace their ties. These far-right organizations make the left-leaning political parties seem like kindergarten classes of novices. So, Opus Dei is but a member of a deeply subversive group of anti-democracy theocrats who want to instill their religious autocracy into every aspect of life. They want to go back in time to before the protestant reformation and subsequent Renaissance where the arts and sciences began to overthrow old-time Catholicism and bring on a new age of human expansion. Yet, these orgs are using all the high technology and AI of the modern age to achieve their goals. They want to put 95% of the people under their religious authority with a 5% ruling class just like the Dark Ages. If the world's people don't wake up soon it may be too late to prevent a new world order based on religions fighting one another for authority. Opus Dei is but the Christian version of Islamic terrorist orgs. Americans electing Donald Trump have taken a major step in defeating freedom and democracy around the world. Isn't it interesting that the nation that brought democracy and Constitutional government of the people, by the people, and for the people to the world is the first to begin to destroy this idea? Welcome to Opus Dei and its friends. They are the new Big Brother.
Opus Dei uses their own Bible with Catholic teaching which has nothing to do with the Bible. They burned the Bibles until they found out it is much better to distort it (new translations). Catholicism is in direct opposition to Christianity. It is amazing that people can't see it. Catholic Church is not the oldest institution in the world. The oldest one is true Christianity. Catholic Church emerged in the time of Constantine - 4th century.
We don't know the depth of Satan brother, the Real Christ will judge all the wicked people ..

Great podcast!
Thanks man! Spread the word.
Will do! The algorithm is not benefitting you for some reason. I have to keep consciously coming back. Unfortunately these topics are niche, and most people I know have no interest. These are some of the most important conversations for our future, and your list of guests is great. It's just hard to get people to widen the focus.
Target the finance and business communities. I think most thinkers would be impressed with your guests. You should be a guest on a podcast yourself to widen the reach in my opinion. Speak about your experiences meeting so many fascinating people. 👌
@@matthewvirth nice! Open to suggestions mate. Hit the bell icon. Hopefully that will put the content back.
Hitchens would have been cancled about his comments about islam and women or abortion. He would have probably supported trump on matters of censorship and he hated the clintons.
Roman empire rising again, be aware. Revelations.
I stopped watching when you compared Opus Dei (OD) to ISIS. I'd like to debate/discuss Gore on his book. I disagree with him. Can you arrange that? Thanks.
America is under attack by Opus Deii and Putin. J D Vance, future Vice President of USA is Opus Deii. Thanks. Excellent interview.
❤❤❤
More information - factual and unemotional - can be found on this highly recommended homepage: "The Truth, Served Raw ~ … and sometimes "al dente“ / Matt’s Opus Dei FAQ“
I suspect the dark money Opus Dei foundations overlap with the dark money Heritage Foundation organizations. What you want to bet? 🤔
His book is well written and well researched. I could not put it down. Perhaps a peek at the Mormon Church finances?
name of book please
Work of the devil side of Opus Dei
Escriva was a fascist monster: anti life, anti woman, etc. Some citizens ridiculously fear sharia law being imposed in the USA. Opus Dei's objective is similar and more likely as the largest Christian sect in the USA for more than a hundred years is the Catholic one. The Catholic religion, the mainstream religion so to speak, is already thoroughly authoritarian and intolerant. It teaches blind acceptance of the catechism, confession to keep guilt alive rather than alleviate it, and menaces errancy with excommunication. A resurrection of the Inquisition is the danger of this covert movement. Call me anti-Catholic and I will answer.
"Fraternal correction" - creepy. Yet the "see something say something" fascist cop welfare checks or safety checks with NSA monitoring is the same thing.
don't forget Otto Skorzeny being behind the assassination of JFK out of fascist Spain also. Read H.P. Albarelli's "Coup in Dallas" for details
Nice

Thanks for sharing this I bought Gareth’s book. This needs to reach more people. I live in the USA.
Jack Valero (also on TH-cam) has an entirely different perspective on the book.
Everything about the Catholic Church is creepy
It’s weird; why is there another guys seemingly talking in the phone in the background?
It’s me!
Serving the wealthy for free.
Ryan, I didn't say anything that deserved having my comment taken down. I challenged several assertions that you and your guest made. I complimented your guest's challenge to Opus Dei in general. I pointed out that I'd seen an Opus Dei priest do some incredible good in the world and that sacrifice is a good thing. But I guess you couldn't take a bit of criticism, or even a shred of defense of Opus Dei. After listening to much of your content for months and months, this action surprised me.
@@davidwood5282 I didn’t delete anything you’ve written I don’t know what your talking about. What was the comment?
@@curiousworldview Thanks for the response! It re-affirms my initial belief in you! I have never had a post taken down by TH-cam but I think this one was my first. I pretty much explained my initial post in my comment above. I posted those assertions, and in them, I also included a link to the Heritage Foundation asserting that their Project 2025 wasn't so controversial if you actually read it: Secure the border, deport illegal aliens, De-weaponize the Federal Government by increasing accountability and oversight of the FBI and DOJ, Unleash American energy production to reduce energy prices, Cut the growth of government spending to reduce inflation, Make federal bureaucrats more accountable to the democratically elected President and Congress, Improve education by moving control and funding of education from DC bureaucrats directly to parents and state and local governments, Ban biological males from competing in women' s sports (straight from their website). Basically all the issues that resulted in 51% of the electorate in America casting the votes they did last week. I guess for that, one's comments get taken down on TH-cam.
@@davidwood5282You aren’t a victim.
"offer everything up to God. Give it to me and I will get it to him..."
When sociopaths have a fear response they feel the need to control everything and people are the elements most difficult to control , so they create systems that are self reinforcing. Self reinforced systems of controls for people... Fascism.
Please let the author speak.
Good interview, many thanks. Would be a much more satisfying viewer experience to see both people involved in the conversation. Quite disconcerting to have a disembodied voice coming from off-screen unfortunately.
Thank you! All in due course, it's a matter of budget for the production.
The urge to own people ... Now we have private sector to satisfy that urge
It’s always the secret handshake people behind the curtain that rule the world sadly.
First and foremost, Justin was a buttpacka. Plain and simple. India is filled with butties. Then they go back to Florida or wherever. Years later they return to India as creepy old guys. The new buttpacka hotspot is Pakistan. Many packas is going there. Maybe this author could write a book on Pakistan?
A yeoman effort by Mr. Gore. His book needs to be widely circulated. With luck, it will save millions from suffering and servitude. Possibly, as he mentions near the end, the Vatican will intervene and the horrors will stop.
Gore miente más que habla
I can certify that what this program says is true in my own experience.
Mine, too, with just several minor differences, overall not very significant
Y eso por no hablar del "Opus Night"... ¬¬
Sexual abuse cases have been in the Catholic Church, Jehova´s Witnesses, Orthodox Jews, actually, in all areas of society, believers or non believers, unfortunately. I´m not defending the Catholic Church, I´m not a Catholic at all, I´m just stating a fact. Our species is not very pleasant, that´s all. And I try to understand why it happens, but I don´t, even if I keep investigating it (that´s why I know about all these cases)
What proof do you have of breaking seal of confession? That’s a serious sin in Catholicism.
Is a Political institution
Oh, Wallenberg family as a topic. Glued.
51.00 Escriva made up a lot of stories about himself that can not be verified, for instance the corporal mortification when he was a young priest, he loves to be seen as a saint and the charismatic person that he wasn''t
It is all about corruption using the name of God. And dangerous. And right now in America it's into the Supreme Court and political figures of high power. And traitor criminal trump as their implementor... their agenda. We the people need to disrupt their agenda in November.
Thank you for spreading the word.
Opus Dei is like the Talibans. No ideological differences.
The Taliban want to rechristianise the world?
I wish the interviewer would let the author speak. He obviously knows little about Opus Dei.
@@patriciadoane2161 Do you have a different interview to recommend? I noticed he's been on Steve Hasan, but he's (SH) so annoying I've not watched it, lol.
Do you even know what Taliban means? It means Student. The name refers to university students whose core vision was to get rid of the hegemonic powers who were destroying their land.
Opus Dei have existed far longer.
Cool interview ! Aske diss man off the Catolice Chugs it’ never Change and it never Collapse ! ?
