@@MrAleck41 yep there is no system to record adbkue level they removed it when they realised their first version tank was faulty. That's why if you press the spanner button on the dash it will still say miles left of adblue but always read 2700. As for coming on with 2-3 litres left, not sure about their Vauxhall versions but the Peugeot ones are meant to be 6 litres but mine was coming on with 10 - 12 litres left. The are useless they even tried telling the ombudsman the irregukarity with their system was a 'characteristic' which they rejected saying no that's called a fault. Mine was using a litre per hundred miles but apparently that was acceptable 🤣

@@bling9er963 yep exactly why I went to the ombudsman and won then told them I was taking them to court. They told the ombudsman that this is not a fault it's a characteristic of their car, to which they were told no, that's called a fault and you should either rectify it or assist in buying the car back.

​@@north5760would be great if you could describe your success through obudsmen and the court (if you have done it). This could be a useful legal precedent for many people who are having issues with Peugeot AdBlue tanks

@@middlelee89 sounds like you're having a nightmare too. They just agreed to buy mine back after the ombudsman disagreed that the faulty adbkue system was as Peugeot tried to put it "a characteristic of the car" it was either that of I took them to court and it got way more publicity.

@@DM-0072 yep that was my experience too, it spent more time on garages and a lot of miles being test driven to find a fault Peugeot are fully aware exists. The hilarity of them telling the motor ombudsman is was a characteristic of their vehicle and the ombudsman saying no that's called a fault is still not lost on me.

If the counter goes down to zero the car will continue to drive but once turned off it will refuse to start until it is filled up. They have a lot of problems with their tanks which among other things don't record the levels of adblue in them correctly. Mine perpetually said it was running out when it wasn't. Problem is when the car thinks it's out, it will refuse to start even if there is actually adbkue in the tank. Is it a relatively new car?

Yeah the Stellantis group are the biggest bunch of crooks on the go. They couldn't find their arse with an atlas and both hands let alone fix their own cars. However the more people I can dissuade from falling for their crap and ending up with a nightmare vehicle that never works right, the better.

Yeah it's amazing how much you can fit in panniers, I spent £160 on food lol. Should have fuelled 1st as yes on and off centrestand is harder although not the worst on the Suzuki. Thieves are arseholes and insurers are thieves funny little circle of life they have going on there.

@@north5760 The thieving arseholes were caught on a neighbours doorbell camera, they looked to be about 14-18 years old but because the 3 were wearing balaclavas the plod reckoned no way to even arrest them. I know who they were as have since seen all 3 visiting our local drug dealer so will follow them each to their homes & then decide what to do next(probably involve "having a chat with my most dodgy mates" to pass on the addresses & leave it up to my mates to chose their punishments)

It's still ongoing, we are waiting the outcome from the motoring ombudsman prior to moving forward. They take their time. I encourage anyone with these issues to publicly make as much noise as possible, social media etc, share stories and make sure people know just how bad they are.

Sorry to hear that, sadly stellantis know the issues exist they just lie and lie and lie. They drag out warranties and just think everyone will just accept it. They getaway with it because either nobody challenges their behaviour or people don't feel comfortable doing so. What model out of curiosity I know it's wide-ranging throughout their models.

Much as I would love to removal and remapping changes the emissions and tax is paid on emissions. There are questions regarding the legality of this for road use. Edit - Also why should I pay even more expense and let Peugeot off the hook to slither away and ruin more lives.

@@north5760 reliability. Something that's not there can't ever break. Tax is paid on the emissions tested when it's type approved - doesn't change later. Of course, your point about it being Peugeot's problem is completely valid. I have a Kia which has a recall for fluid entering the ABS pump, which is always live, and causing a fire. Kia's fix is to add a relay. Doesn't prevent fluid ingress, or a fire. Just ensures that if it does catch fire, I'll be in it at the time!

@@Ayrshore I'm done paying money for a car the manufacturer couldn't fix throughout it's warranty. There are a few issues with adblue removal, it will stuff resale, there are still legality and insurance issues. Worst of all if I just drip away more of my money accepting a faulty car then Stellantis will learn they can continue to do as they please and stuff their customers. Someone has to stand up and say no and show how bad they really are.

@@north5760 Currently have had van off the road for 5 weeks. Stellantis taking the piss reparing it. 4yr old van that I've had a month and paid £15k for now needs air flow pressure meter and adblue tank replacement.

You really can't do that as the cat has moved in the same canister as the dpf, turning adblue off will result in tons of soot entering the engine through the turbo. I seen this problem engine full of soot and a blown valve, worn cam chain then snapping. The fix is removed adblue injector and inject hot water and a good dpf fluid 50/50. Half engine off half engine running or will over fill into turbo. Finally tell the car it's had a new dpf and cat using a good code reader . To stop this problem clean adblue injector at least every service or the cat will soot up again.

Many thanks, there comes a point where really they leave you zero choice. I'm not sure how much faith I have that they will actually listen but until they do I intend to try remove as many people as I can from being their customers.

Mines not guzzling ad blue but comes up with “emissions fault” “starting impossible blah blah blah” I can’t afford to buy another van and I won’t be able to sell it with these problems on it.

Sorry to hear this, sadly it's a nightmare. They replaced my tank, dragged their heels and then when they dragged it past warranty expiry said sorry out of warranty go away. I am shortly getting my van sign written and it will be getting parked close to their dealerships in due course. They know they have adblue issues and I the words of one of their own managers are trying to "spin it so it sounds better".

@@joannenorman9617 same issue here stuck with it at the moment as the tank has no clue how much adblue it has in it. Says its low and takes very little to full. It's a nightmare. I'd just keep hitting them up publicly on social media. I suspect there are a lot more people with Peugeot vehicles in this boat and I think people need to be vocal. To hold them to account and prevent other poor folk falling foul of being stuck with faulty vehicles.

I has similar problem with them trying to get a correct diagnosis , vehicle would intermittently loose acceleration , there never seem to be rhyme nor reason as to when it happen. Happened once when pulling onto the A1 into traffic which was travelling at around 70MPH ! My vehicle would not go above 40 MPH until it cleared. It was eventually found to be the ADBlue crystalising in the injector which was the issue! That car damn near killed me

@@elizabethholmes8194 mine just came up with adblue low again I haven't yet calculated the mileage but I expect it to be about the 2800 range or thereabout and same as every time I wlll film th refil and see how much it takes this time. What annoys me is Peugeot response when shown a car saying its low taking only 6 litres of adblue, silence! They answer everything else with excuses but put this to them and the silence is ominous. They know its an issue so they just deny it hoping people will give up.

Legally doing so would require me to declare as emissions affect Insurance and possible taxation. Yes most people will say nobody will know but that's not a risk I can or would take. Plus why should I? This is Peugeot mess I refuse to just let the slither away and rip off their customers

They wanted to charge me £1600 for a new tank my Peugeot has only done 45k

@@tonyfyfe5227 yeah I have copies of an email from parent group Stellantis where they say they are fully aware they have issues with their adblue. They even go as far as asking customer service to see how they can spin it to sound better. I don't want to go to court over it but by heck if they force me there I will be outing as much of their scandelous behaviour as I can.

Yeah it sucks but I am not backing down, they know its faulty so they can play pretend all they want it's going to terminate with the courts unless the ombudsman turns it round although a court case is still likely after that in relation to the nightmare they have dragged us through.

I'm not sure why that would be, mine chills pretty well is it that 65L one? Have you asked Subcool,? I've not had to try their customer service as yet but that doesn't sound right sounds like a faulty unit.

@@north5760 It was a mistake on my part. They told me that a setting of 5 was required for the lowest temperature as I was using a setting of 2 or 1 previously. It’s been at 5 for several hours and the temperature is down to 6oC so hopefully it will be at 4oC in the morning. If not then it’s definitely faulty. I’ll update you tomorrow with the results.

Same issue here. I have purchased mine just over a month ago. I switched it from 2 to 1 setting and hoping it drops further. A fridge should be approximately 4oC.

Weird mine is down at 3c at the moment not had any issues with it not cooling.

Oh I will never buy another Peugeot as long as I live. Yeah I hear you but remapping the engine needs declaring and it affects resale (may even affect taxation due to emissions change) and ...realistically why should I they made the car they know it's faulty, I'll happily see them in court where they can explain to a sheriff why my car says its running out when its not and drinks the stuff lol.

Oddly I heve never seen one dead at the bottom of a cliff, I can only assume they bounce well or they have conspired to use other humans to catch them.
