    I have my original PSE Evolve 31 with what is currently considered the EC cams and tuned with equal 0.062 cam shims top and bottom. Shoots great, smooth draw for its speed, and very accurate. The original aluminum limb bolt cylinders were defective and unlubed from the factory and stripped. The warning sign was very high resistance to draw weight adjustment. I rebuilt with new limb bolts and cylinders (no charge by PSE) applying anti-seize compound and now all is good. It has the original skinnier axles but at 60 lbs max, I am not concerned. Tolerance between the left upper yoke cable and the cam is tight, but there is clearance and zero cable or string wear (factory original strings). It has the free floating yokes so no yoke tuning capability. The new EC2 cam has wider cable tracks for more clearance and more effective yoke tuning. Only other negative of my old bow is the black and red color scheme that looks a little dated (the girl at the shop called it the Batman bow, ha ha ha!). So do you think the new PSE Fortis 33 EC2 would be worth adding to my bow collection? Can't imagine it shooting that much better than my old Evolve 31, but the extra ata length might improve hold stability. The PSE website mentions an anti-torque full-draw system on their new bows but no real details on how they achieved this. Is this real or a marketing gimmick?

    • @thearcherystation9810
      @thearcherystation9810 ปีที่แล้ว

      the fortis would be atleast worth testing out, if you’re currently shooting the evolve. The evolve was a great bow, and still is but there have been some upgrades to their overall system with this fortis. Now whether or not you think they’re worthy of the upgrade will be up to you when you shoot it. But I definitely think you should atleast give it a shot. If you do, let me know your thoughts. sorry for the delay in response I could have sworn I already responded to you. Apologies

    I don't understand the obsession with hand shock. we all wear gloves during hunting so that reduces shock too, the fact is that the shock comes from the string hitting the cams in a end of cycle position, the arrow is long gone before you even realize it. The silent thing, I mean , thats nice, but come on, lets not pretend that the deer is not going to hear it going off, the deer can hear a twig snap on the way to your stand long farther than 30 yards, and that is mutch less than 60 DB. I like the mathews but I do not like the nickle and diming.

    • @thearcherystation9810
      @thearcherystation9810 ปีที่แล้ว

      Handshock sells, that’s why so many people are hung up on it, because it’s something the end consumer can physically “feel”. That’s why you see it pushed so hard. Some things we may never understand lol 😂

    Could someone use standard 1/4" shims in place of the spacers. Spacers that go all the way around and elimination of tolerance gaps was a benefit of the old system. Also, can a generic pick tool be used to pull out the spacers in a bow press.

    • @thearcherystation9810
      @thearcherystation9810 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don’t see why you couldn’t use a standard shim in place of the new system, aslong as you kept the tolerances the same. and yea a “L” shaped pick would work, you just may run into it marring the plastic up a bit.

    • @thearcherystation9810
      @thearcherystation9810 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know, that’s what makes it so hard. Because things like “felt vibration” and “noise” are subjective, two people will give two separate answers. That’s why I usually push for folks to shoot as many new bows as they can and make the best decision for themselves. After spending more time around the phase 4 it does seem to have almost no vibration, at all. I don’t think you could go wrong buying one

      @@jeffevans4598 it’s hard to say if it’s that much “quieter” than the Ventum Pro. With that said I do feel like it’s quieter than the ventum pro, but not by much, atleast in my opinion
