You have 5 turns for this boss compared to its "easier" version, The Fallen. The main thing you’re hoping for in this fight is purely how spammy the Lost feels like being during turns. End of turn moves (except for Armageddon) can be negated with the last union hitting a Cachexia, but the in-between Apocalypse and Hand of God are the real issues. While the Gates itself isn’t too hard, it does have a particular design element I don’t care for and that’s true with a number of bosses in this game. Moves: I’d be ok with its two primary moves if they weren’t morale-chunking, slow animation, and AoE RNG damage. I've never first attempted this boss. There's a first time for everything. After an unreasonable amount of Landworm grinding up to the max chains amount (unnecessary, gains fell off hard around the 6k mark) I wiped the floor with the Fallen on my first attempt.

I don't like this fight. Any limited turns fight is an awful RNG fest, more so with this one since you only have 5 turns.

Yeah as the previous comment said you have to beat the fallen, and I'm. Pretty sure if you get too far in the main story that quest disappears, so happy to find out that he's less of a ball ache than the fallen though lol like I'm. Never doing that battle ever again 🤣🤣
What they said. The remastered version of the game is basically just the PC version ported to a higher console. If you're used to the Xbox 360 version of the game, they give you all the DLC items at the start of the game. PC/Remaster version you still get the DLC items but they're locked behind certain guild tasks, in this case the key to the Ancient Ruins is locked behind beating The Fallen. And for whatever reason, the side quest for The Fallen goes away if you've entered Undelwalt. The city can still show up on the map, just so long as you don't actually go into it.
Nice that's an RNG miracle
