I hit some local estate sales today and found some awesome items.
Unfortunately I also had a interaction that left me #shook
I can be too sensitive and this is a "me" thing, people tell me I need a thicker skin, and maybe I do, but I also think a thin skin keeps me in line and kind to people.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this video, I have a second sale to share later this weekend.

This was the last estate sale stop of the day, and it was a doozy! So much fun and a little feistiness to boot. I think I passed up some good finds, but that just means another buyer gets them instead. There is a lot of competition in the reselling community and I get it, we are all trying to make a living. I just wish we could all be a little nicer to each other.

This weekends Tag Sales escapades were a bit of a debacle. I couldn't get my act together equipment-wise, I hope at some point to be able to turn everything on and off, click the record button and other general things like video not photo on the phone! Anyway, I think we managed to get a few good sales logged for you to enjoy. I'm still learning, and I guess my way is the hard way LOL Stay tune...

On this thrifting trip, I learnt some lessons for the next picking trip! The rain from Hurricane Debbie kept us off the beach and in a couple of Goodwills this week. I made some errors in judgement in this video by not doing my research in the store, but my loss is out gain in future picks. @@randomeddy I’m not complaining, I’m making a comment on how I feel when people are unnecessarily rude. I did own up to it, I told the gentleman who runs the sale when I was paying.

3 minutes in and I love the architecture of this church. We had the wagon when I was a kid in the 70’s. It had red side rails. 3:38 The chrome side table the lady is using on the left is an expensive designer table. This is the kind of sale I love. I would glue something random onto the back legs of the cat like an old wooden block or a large marble.

If only I could still fit in a wagon 🤣 I’m going to check out the table you mentioned, when I rewatch these videos I see things that I missed or wish I knew more about so I really appreciate you pointing that out to me.

@@Briitkneeee Hi, thanks :) I am using a go pro 11. I didn’t use a mic for this video it was clipped to my bag so was pretty close to me. I use Rode mics if I do use one.
Do you ask homeowners to record?
@@ale7564 Hi, sometimes I do. It’s quite obvious I have a go pro on and most people ask what I am filming before I get a chance to ask. If someone asks me not to record I always turn it off. 99% of people are interested and enjoy getting in camera and chatting more.

The people who grew up in this house must have had a ton of fun. So much to do all the time. Great kitchen for baking cookies. Games galore! I grew up in a household similar with 9 kids. Listened to so many styles of music. Different funny personalities, very eventful, especially around holidays and birthdays.

With the prices goodwill sells things at, id say goodwill is the worst thrift shopping experience you can have
True enough, but it all depends on the person pricing that day and the location. There are plenty of greats finds to be had still.

People like you are the reason that people that need Goodwill cant afford it
as someone that used to work at goodwill, ill let you know that all the best stuff that gets donated does NOT make it to the store floor.When you pay minimum wage you tend to get the worst quality workers and worst effort, and they are desperately scraping by to survive. Let desperate and underpaid people get their hands on valuable stuff before anyone, and I guarantee 90% of the best stuff never makes it to the sales floor of goodwill.
