Even less functionality and it still doesn't work. This is the worst vehicle app out there. Ford really needs to spend some time producing something that actually works.
Definitely not disagreeing with you. I think they could have done a better job developing it and having a trial group test it out, prior to launching. Right away they came out with 5.0.1, 5.0.2, etc because of the bugs and fixes they had to do. The good thing is is that they are continually trying to update the app according to what the people are wanting, so the least we can do is give our input!
How to active the theft alam setting?
Thanks for watching! To activate the theft alarm setting directly in your Ford vehicle, follow these general steps. Note that exact steps may vary slightly depending on your vehicle model and year: -Turn on the Vehicle: Start your vehicle or turn it to accessory mode. -Access the Settings Menu: Use the infotainment screen and go to the Settings menu. -Select Vehicle Settings: Look for an option that says Vehicle Settings or Vehicle. -Locate the Alarm/Anti-Theft Setting: In Vehicle Settings, find options related to Security or Anti-Theft. Some models may have a specific option for Alarm or Theft Deterrent System. -Activate or Customize the Alarm: Toggle the alarm setting on, and if available, customize your alarm notifications or sensitivity settings. -Check for FordPass Integration (Optional): If you’d like notifications on your FordPass app, make sure the vehicle is properly linked to your app, and enable alarm notifications under Vehicle in the FordPass app. If you’re having trouble finding the alarm settings, your owner’s manual should have detailed instructions specific to your model. If you email me your model/year/trim at marketing@jessford.com, I can help you out in more detail! Let me know if you need more help!
How do I share this app with my spouse
Hi there! To share an app: For iPhone: -Open the App Store on your iPhone. -Search for FordPass. -Once you find it, tap on the Share icon (a box with an upward arrow) next to the app’s name. -Choose how you’d like to share it (e.g., Messages, Mail, or AirDrop), and send it to your spouse. They’ll receive a link to download the app. For Android: -Open the Google Play Store on your Android device. -Search for FordPass. -When you find the app, tap on the Share icon (three dots or ‘Share’ button depending on your phone). -Choose your sharing method (like Text Message, Email, or Nearby Share), and send it to your spouse. They’ll get a link to download the app. To share access to your vehicle with your spouse in the FordPass app: Have your spouse download the FordPass app and create an account if they haven’t already. On your own FordPass app, go to Account > Your Vehicle and select the vehicle you want to share. Look for an option like Share Access or Add Driver (this option may vary by model). Enter your spouse’s email associated with their FordPass account and send the invitation. Once they accept, they should be able to access your vehicle’s features in their app. Let us know if you need any more help or email me at marketing@jessford.com!

We don't have a hand held door opener.
Hmmm. I am going to have to check this out and see if there is a way to connect without a handheld garage door opener. I am sure there is a way! Stay tuned!!!
Here you are! This is going to be a two person job and requires a latter. Steps to Program HomeLink Without a Handheld Garage Door Opener: 1)Locate the HomeLink Buttons: These are typically on your vehicle’s rearview mirror or overhead console. 2)Clear Previous Codes (if necessary): -Press and hold the two outer HomeLink buttons until the indicator light begins to flash (about 20 seconds). This clears any previous programming. 3)Find the Learn Button on Your Garage Door Opener: -In your garage, locate the learn button on the garage door opener motor (usually on the ceiling of your garage). -The learn button is typically near the antenna or labeled as "Learn," "Smart," or "Program." You may need a ladder to reach it. ****Please note that Jess Ford does not recommend using a ladder to access your garage door opener, and we are not liable for any injuries incurred during the process. Please exercise caution and follow all safety guidelines.**** 4)Activate the HomeLink Programming: -Inside your vehicle, press and hold the HomeLink button you want to program (e.g., the first button). The light should flash slowly. -While holding the button, press the learn button on your garage door opener (it might require you to press it within 30 seconds of activating HomeLink). 5)Test the Connection: -After a few seconds, the indicator light on the HomeLink button should change from flashing slowly to a solid light, indicating the connection has been made. -Test the HomeLink button by pressing it to see if it opens your garage door. If you have difficulty with the process or if your garage door opener is not compatible, some newer systems support integration through apps or additional devices like a bridge for smart home garage door openers (e.g., Chamberlain’s MyQ). If your garage door opener is from the 90's, then it might not have a "Learn," "Smart," or "Program" button and most likely will not be able to pair with your HomeLink. Let me know if you need more details!

How do you change the app from km to miles ??
Hi there! To change the units in the FordPass app from kilometers to miles, follow these steps: 1) Open the FordPass App on your phone. 2) Go to Settings: Tap on the three-line menu (hamburger icon) at the top-left corner to access the menu, then select Settings. 3) Select Vehicle Preferences: In the settings menu, find and select Vehicle Preferences or Units and Preferences (the exact wording may vary based on the app version). 4) Choose Your Unit of Measurement: Under the preferences, locate the option for Units or Measurement System. Change this setting from Metric (KM) to Imperial (Miles). 5)Save or Exit: The app may automatically save your selection, or you might need to tap Save. Once done, exit the settings menu. Your app should now display distances in miles instead of kilometers! If you don’t see the change immediately, try restarting the app or reach back out!
I have a 2016 Ford Escape titanium and this app is useless for me. For some stupid reason Ford left a few functions off of the 2016 escape that my daughters 2015 ford focus had. My daughters 2015 ford focus had a heated steering wheel but the 2016 Ford Escape Titanium does not have. This is my 3rd Ford Escape and will probably be my last Ford Vehicle. Just not happy with Ford.
Hi there! I am so sorry to hear about your situation! The Escape didn't come with heated steering wheels as a standard feature until 2017. Why so late? I am not sure... Not to be all "sale-sy", but if you are unhappy with your daughters vehicle, we can definitely find you something that you two are happy with! We can deliver all around the states🫡 Email me at Marketing@JessFord.com if you are considering or want some more information!

The majority of the comments are in line with my observations. The previous version of the application was superior due to its more extensive range of options. During discussions with Ford regarding this application, they indicated that they are endeavoring to incorporate those options in subsequent updates. However, based on past experiences, it is likely that these options may never materialize, similar to the SecurLock feature that was initially available but subsequently removed due to numerous complaints. I want all the old features back, trailer light check, zone lighting, power on board, and, of course, the securlock. Check out my page for other comments about the F150. 😊
F150 Lightning doesn’t have remote start just climate control. How do you disable the exterior lights so it won’t turn on when you simply open the door to remove a package?
Hi there! We actually covered what the FordPass app does for EV’s (lightning and Mach-E) in a more recent video! Feel free to give it a watch! To turn off the exterior lights on a Ford Lightning when you open the door, follow these steps: 1. Access Lighting Settings on the SYNC Screen: • Turn on your vehicle’s power without fully starting the engine. • On the central SYNC touchscreen, navigate to the Settings menu. 2. Select Lighting Options: • Look for Vehicle Settings or Lighting Settings (exact wording may vary by SYNC version). • Tap on Lighting to see the available lighting options. 3. Turn Off ‘Welcome Lighting’ or ‘Approach Detection’: • In the lighting menu, find options like Welcome Lighting or Approach Detection. • Toggle these options off to prevent the exterior lights from automatically turning on when you open the door. 4. Save Settings: • The settings should save automatically, but double-check that the lighting options are set to your preferences. After adjusting these settings, the exterior lights should remain off when you open the door. If you have difficulty finding these options, refer to the owner’s manual, as settings may vary slightly depending on the model year and SYNC version!

I checked my window sticker & does say I have 4G LTE WI-if for 3 months or 3GB but doesn’t say where to call. Is it with ford pass?
To activate the Wi-Fi subscription in a 2024 Ford Ranger, follow these steps: 1. Open the FordPass App 2. Connect to the Vehicle: • Ensure the vehicle is connected to the FordPass app by adding the Ranger to your account using the vehicle’s VIN (Vehicle Identification Number). 3. Go to Vehicle Wi-Fi Settings: • In the Ranger, go to the SYNC screen and select Settings > Wi-Fi & Hotspot > Wi-Fi Settings. 4. Activate the Wi-Fi Hotspot: • Follow the on-screen prompts to turn on the Wi-Fi Hotspot feature. 5. Select Data Plan Options: • Once the hotspot is enabled, you should see prompts to view data plan options. From here, you can subscribe to a data plan through AT&T (or the available provider) directly from the SYNC screen or through the FordPass app. 6. Complete Activation: • After subscribing, the Wi-Fi hotspot should be fully activated and ready for use. For any issues, you can contact FordPass support for guidance, as Ford’s connectivity services may vary slightly by region or carrier.
@ thank you so much 😊! I will try this in a few minutes!
@@JessFordGroupThank you so much! I now have WiFi in my Ranger thanks to you! 😊
I'm sorry ut my 2019 Ranger doesn't have Upton that says mode and I just had the battery changed and now all I have is off road and nothing will change and nobody seems to have an answer ?
Hi there! Yes, the 2019 Ford Ranger does have selectable drive modes, but they are specifically included on models equipped with the available FX4 Off-Road Package. This package includes a Terrain Management System with four drive modes: Normal, Grass/Gravel/Snow, Mud/Ruts, and Sand. These modes adjust throttle response, transmission gearing, and traction control to help optimize the Ranger’s performance on various surfaces. If the Ranger does not have the FX4 package, it won’t include these drive modes. Hope this helps!
@JessFordGroup I didn't these and I do have the fx4 package but when I changed the battery now I only off road every mode comes up including normal but it keeps going back to off road any suggestions? Thanks
Ahh! If a 2019 Ford Ranger is only showing the “Off-Road” mode after a battery change, it could indicate that the Terrain Management System needs to be recalibrated or reset. Sometimes, when the battery is disconnected or replaced, certain settings and systems may lose their calibration. Here are a few steps that might help: 1. Perform a Vehicle Restart: Try turning the vehicle off and restarting it after a few minutes. This can sometimes reset the system. 2. Check for DTCs (Diagnostic Trouble Codes): If there’s a specific issue, an OBD-II scanner could detect a code related to the Terrain Management System. Clearing these codes may allow the other modes to reappear. 3. Disconnect and Reconnect the Battery: In some cases, disconnecting the battery again for a few minutes and then reconnecting it can reset the system. 4. Perform a Master Reset on the Sync System: If applicable, go to Settings on the SYNC screen, navigate to “General,” and select “Master Reset.” Note that this will reset all settings to factory defaults, including saved radio stations and Bluetooth connections. 5. Visit a Ford Dealership: If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it might require a reflash or software update by a Ford technician to recalibrate the Terrain Management System. This issue is not uncommon after a battery change, as some systems in modern vehicles rely on stable power to retain settings. Hope this helps!
I do have a question, I should probably just go back to my dealer… on my 2019 Ranger I would have WiFi in my truck & I thought my 2024 would as well. The other day for the first time we noticed our phones & a tablet, while we were on a trip had no WiFi. Shouldn’t I be able to have WiFi in my truck 🛻?
Hi there! First thing would be to check your window sticker (call your dealer if you don’t have it) & see if it has the 4G LTE WiFi Hotspot option! If it does, call and get that subscription activated! Hope this helps!

Modern half-tons don't have enough payload. And unless you have jacked up registration costs in your state for 1-tons, just go straight to the F350 and don't look back.
Yes, Washington is known to have higher registration costs for 1-tons. Montana, Idaho, North Dakota and some other states have flat registration fees. The dream!
F350 looks more tough guy

What is the dial for on the pro trailer assist then if all you have to do is hold the button?
The knob on the Pro Trailer Backup Assist system is used after you are connected to your trailer. It is used to control the direction of your trailer when you're backing up! Instead of turning the steering wheel to guide the trailer, you turn the knob in the direction you want the trailer to go!
Is only beneficial if u think is for u if not don't bother

Sorry to burst your great presentation. Apple CarPlay and Ford Connect Pass only sync's with IOS16 or newer. Android Auto works regardless of the Software version. Also Ford wants $200.00 to update software on Sync3 and Navigation. Since your Ford Connect Pass, Rewards and GPS are linked to Ford, you authorize them to track your vehicle and gather data for free. Why does Ford not offer no charge Sync and Navigation updates but have no problem uploading your trucks location and truck operating conditions ?.
Useless app now.
What about how to use the Zone Lighting from the Ford Pass App ? I can no longer find it in the App.
We uploaded a new FordPass app video that has some updates, so I recommend taking a look at it! Unfortunately, they do not have zone lighting available on the app...We are hoping it comes back soon!
I bailed on it when they took away the ability to add your own service records AND the Owners Manuals. The app is now a dumpster fire.
We can't disagree with you...However, if you go to your ford account online (rather than on the app), you can still upload your service records. The owners manual, dependent on year/model, could be in the infotainment center of your vehicle. I know it isn't as convenient as it being on the app, but it is better than paper!
You can’t Edit self service
Correct, you are not able to edit self service on the App. However, you can still add self service records on your ford account online!
They need to do another update. Can’t add service records.
Hi there! Although you can't add them through the app, you are still able to add service records on your ford account online!

I have Ford Edge 2019 The New Ford Pass app update - If you have successfully updated the snyc on your Ford and no longer have the app connecting. If the activation steps do not work as mine did not after running the new app update - DO NOT go to the service department. There is one more troubleshooting to do If you have the option to schedule a turn on engine. Set the schedule for the day you have the app open 10 minutes ahead (it won’t do less than 5 min) If like mine, the scheduled time starts the car it will pair the updated app with full functionality. I called Ford Pass and requested they add this to the troubleshooting since it is the one thing they did not do with me. I almost brought it into Ford to be charged $125 diagnostic for them to look at this issue and who knows what they would have charged if I hadn't asked them questions and realized what needed to be done. Again, if you have an option to schedule do so and it will pair all the other features.
Thanks for sharing this detailed troubleshooting tip! That's really helpful advice for those who might run into the same issue. Scheduling a remote start as a way to pair the app with the vehicle’s system is a clever workaround. We appreciate you taking the time to explain your experience, and we’ll definitely pass this information along as a potential solution for others facing the same problem. Thanks again for watching and contributing to the community!
why i can't connect my ford edge with fordpass, when i wanna connect it gives me this article reads ( Access Denied The Enable Connected Services prompt on the vehicle screen was denied.) and it sends me (Sorry, there was an error and we were unable to complete your request to change authorization rights on Edge. Please try again later.) to my account.
Hi there! The error message you’re seeing usually indicates that the authorization process wasn't fully completed on your vehicle’s display. Here are a few steps to try: 1) Check for Updates: Make sure your Ford Edge's SYNC system is updated to the latest version. Sometimes, an update can resolve connectivity issues. 2) Reauthorize Connected Services: -Go to your vehicle's SYNC screen and select Settings. -Choose FordPass and make sure Enable Connected Services is selected. -Follow any prompts that appear. 3) Reset the FordPass App: Log out of the FordPass app, restart your phone, and log back in. Then, try connecting your vehicle again. 4) Disconnect and Reconnect Your Vehicle: -In the FordPass app, go to Account > Garage > select your vehicle > Remove Vehicle. -Re-add the vehicle by entering your VIN and following the prompts to connect. If these steps don't work, it might be best to contact Ford’s customer support directly or visit your local dealership for assistance. They can ensure everything is set up correctly and troubleshoot any issues with you. Hope this helps!
@@JessFordGroupthanks ,,, do you think my current location have an effect ???? i live in middle east
Ah! Yes, location could definitely affect the ability to connect the FordPass App to the vehicle, especially if you're in the Middle East. FordPass and its connected services are not available or fully supported in all regions globally. If the FordPass service is not available in your location, the vehicle's connectivity features and the app might not work as expected, leading to errors like "Access Denied."

On gas engines, when you do remote start, does that turn on pro power onboard? For lightnings, starting the climate control does not, which is annoying. So to use pro power, need to go into the truck and turn on the EV.
Hi there! For gas engines, when you use remote start, the Pro Power Onboard feature does not automatically activate, just like the Lightning. It’s designed to require the truck to be fully turned on manually to access the feature. We agree that this isn't the most convenient! If you’d like to see this feature integrated with remote start or climate control in future updates, we recommend sending feedback directly to Ford through the FordPass app!! The more they hear feedback, the more likely they are to update!

So if you haven't activated it yet, here is a link how to do so: www.ford.com/support/how-tos/fordpass/fordpass-connect/how-do-i-activate-my-vehicles-modem-using-fordpass/
Ford I slowly phasing out this free service and will replace it with a subscription service like GM does with OnStar. You watch.
Did 2017 ford fusion hybrid cloud start with it?
I am not sure what your question is. Can you rephrase it please? Would love to help you out!
The old version I could even do a trailer lights check and now is gone, why in the F would they do that? It's very frustrating
What year and model do you have? I know it isn't as handy as doing it on your phone, but you should be able to still do this in your vehicles features from the infotainment screen!
Each update it takes more features away, why ?
One of the big complaints on the previous version of the app was it was too complicated. Ford may have taken it too literal and made the app almost too simple. The more we voice what us consumers want/need from the app, the more likely they are to add it back!
I wish they bring back zone lighting on the app!
Agreed! In my opinion, it’s only a matter of time!
As soon as Ford gives up the CP4, they’ll sell a lot more.
Why are you reading from a script? Either you know what you are talking about or you don't.
Sometimes words aren't easy....
Sorry man. I'm not even brave enough to post a video yet I critique you.
I am actually finding it hard to activate my vehicle. Perhaps do a video on the connection/activating steps.
I am filming another EV version tomorrow, so I will go through the steps of adding a vehicle then!
You should have been a header
My friend talked me into installing fordpass, and it was just as I suspected, it is totally worthless. This is all about ford trying to make money off you. yes it gives you a couple nice features like locking and unlocking and starting your vehicle, but after that it's useless. And to be honest, those features mean nothing to me. I can see how it might be useful for some people in certain situations but overall, not so much. Telling me where my truck is, is cool, but I already know where my truck is. And do not get me started on having to pay for navigation. 80 bucks a a year? I have a gps that I paid for lifetime updates that was less than 80 bucks. You can get a GPS for a 100 bucks and it's good without updates for years. People rely way too much on telephones for their daily living. It's crazy
Yes, EV app info please.
Working on that this week and release Friday!
It is up! th-cam.com/video/d2skOvtj9Jw/w-d-xo.html
The app is worthless now. It’s uglier and you can’t refresh the location feature. If I didn’t own Ford stock I would root hard for the company to go under, strictly because of this app
Location should be updated now!
