Yes… INFJs understand harshness more than sensors… but not more than other intuitives. It is an INTUITIVE issue, not a feeling issue, that comprehends the suffering more. The INFJ may feel more compelled to ACT on that in a more comprehensive, global way - but so do ENTJs. And INTJs. And INTPs will darn sure at least talk about it, if not eventually aspire to do something about it in their later years. ENFJs as well. INFPs can. ISFPs can, even. Ni and Ti have a LOT of handshaking going on. And then Fe and Se have a lot of handshaking going on. It’s not just for the INFJ or ENFJ. Consider the critic function, which is known to be AS STRONG as the dominant function. An INFJ will have that Fi critic going on with Ni. INTJ has that Fi-child going on with it. I refer you to Gregory House as a Ni-Dom whose relationship IS WITH PAIN. And he does not ignore the pain of others, at all… he just doesn’t base his DECISIONS on others’ opinions or global “needs” in the feeling sense. He believes the right way to address that PAIN is by being efficient, knowing how things work, so that you can heal the most people possible. He doesn’t want to be seen as fake, so he MUST pretend that he’s merely solving a puzzle… but he’s well aware there is one chance at this life… As evidenced by the DISCUSSIONS he always has with his patients. Sensors do not tend to care AS MUCH about global pain… they will have sympathy for it, and get sucked into voting in a bunch of vampires who CLAIM they’re setting out to solve those kind of problems… (SFs and NFs both are guilty of this folly - and some self-proclaimed TPs who get caught up in their thinking loops, but don’t pull their heads out their tears long enough to have some standards - and also to be careful about suppressing values because they don’t have enough experience to know that values are oftentimes shortcuts that don’t have to be figured out through reinventing the wheel…) But, at any rate. No - INFJs do NOT hold the pain trophy. That’s their Fi-critic convincing them that they do. It’s SUBJECTIVE, but playing as if it’s objective. When the INFJ admits that, then they’ll be able to actually control that. In all fairness, the INFP and ISFP has the cognitive stack that would cause them to feel the most amount of pain and handle it like a champ… And the ESTJ and ENTJ would follow suit (the inferior functions that run people’s lives…) with their suppression that culminates in the later years. But, even then… If you throw an ESFJ into a family of intuitives, you’ll get someone who has to battle cognitive dissonance on a level likely unparalleled by any other type. Then again… An ENTJ in a family of sensors has to with that as well. Or an ESTJ in a family of intuitive feelers… LOL.

I didn't mean more than intuitives regarding harshness, sorry if you took it that way but not directly jumping to conclusion would be a smart move... Intuitives tend to be noticeably rarer in society so I meant it more in term of what is common. But at least more than sensors I think so too. It is an Intuitive issue yes, but I'd argue it's more a intuitive feeler issue, and even more a intuitive extraverted feeler issue to comprehend the sufferings more in their globality. It's simply taken to a different level of comprehension which is directly linked to the way they perceive the world. I'm sincerely sorry but no, it's typically not the case especially for ENTJs... I admit they might want to sometimes, obviously. But their approach is counter-productive, more often than not. Which I think is sad because since they struggle with emotions, they usually end up crushing others in the process when they wanted to help them. But generally they put themselves first, I'm gonna be honest, which is fair sometimes don't get me wrong. I agree more on INTJs though. They actually naturally have more concern. The problem is, it's not as easy for them to be comprehensive and even though they're factual, they can be very judgemental at the same time, which doesn't help their speech at all and you need good communication. They can be very pretentious too, which will not help you in any way, no matter you call it honesty or not... I also partially agree on INTPs, they can really have a will to help and will be searching for the truth to do so. But the thing is their tendency to want truth at all cost and to push curiosity to its limits isn't always healthy. I agree the most with ENFJ but the difference is they're just more spontaneous and don't necessarely take a step back cause they're directly immersed in the situation if you will. So they don't have this particular framework, this bigger picture or not as much. So INFJs will just be more global in that regard. To be a intuitive dom really isn't the same thing as having it as a tool function. Yes INFPs can but sadly they can just be too personal, to the point where they can't relate to anyone but themselves sometimes, without considering the necessity to convey things logically sometimes. Also they're capable to be very impulsive and to completely deviate from their initial intention...And again, tool function. And with ISFP you have the opposite type of problem, they don't get the harshness as much because they're sensors... I'm sorry, I don't understand the term handshaking in that context. If that was misunderstood, again I don't mean it's only for INFJ/ENFJ. I just meant it's more for them (specifically for INFJ for the reasons I explained). Thankfully it isn't only for these types or no one could ever understand them, even though it's still pretty rare... Yes the critic function is important but not as much as the dominant one, more as the adult one specifically because it pressures it to do even more. So Fi critic will be in relation with Fe. That is what I meant by self sacrifice. A Fi child is very different from a Fi critic. Fi can already be EXTREMELY different depending if it's dominant, adult in comparison to child or inferior, so even more for critic. In the case of Gregory House, this relation with pain is caused by a traumatic effect that is a particular condition that forces a radical change. ENFJ and specifically more INFJs get it from the get go (the whole more imagination thing of intuitive dom). They always think about the worst case scenario but not only, also how to react to that and how to try to be as ready as possible for that. But I wasn't only talking about it on a personal level but also on a social, existential and material level. Everyone can understand their own pain, not necessarely the weight of a global pain. For most people it's good as long as it doesn't concern them and for some there is no pain if they're not in pain. And yes, precisely. He DOES partially ignore the pain of others...he refuses to adress the opinion and specifically the global *NEEDS in the feeling sense and to PARTIALLY base his decisions on it. Specifically something that INFJ doesn't do because they have Ti child and are seeking for truth by taking the entire spectrum. They won't refuse to acknowledge or overshadow the pain of others in the factual sense on the contrary...And that's exactly what I meant by they take us for naive and fragile, because they wrongly assume we do ignore it. You can as well believe the right way to adresse that PAIN is by being efficient, knowing how the things work AND acknowledging the emotional needs all at the same time by learning how it works too so you can heal the most people in the MOST efficient way possible instead of denying just because it's easier. What would you do in a situation where acknowledging opinions and feeling needs is the most efficient option or the only available option ? What can you do when someone is dead to help the family in any way you could and there is nobody left to save ? NOTHING, ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Seriously, it doesn't cost anything to acknowledge it if the understanding is "actually" there. Someone like Gregory House would just have to go on and prove it. Because exactly, we have one chance at this life, so try your best not to do something to someone you might regret later. When it's too late, it's too late. And if it's a lack of skill, better try or ask for advices than avoiding, ignoring or denying which really is the fakest reaction to have, in addition to being incredibly immature and delusional... The saddest thing is he could just make it apparent for everyone without being fake (if that was ACTUALLY the case, which I SURELY DIDN'T see in all of his interactions with his patients).

I agree for sensors though, it's not easy for them to see the big picture of things. Consequently, they can be abused by manipulations more easily. That's DEFINITELY NOT the case of NFs though, or any N type REALLY...In the same way ST and TJ types can fall for those who present you satisfying completely hypothetical numbers and inventions that could be the answer to this same type of global pain problems that are simply inapplicable from a societal and human standpoint and that wastes dozens of dozens of billion of dollars for absolutely nothing in the end. A different taste of folly we could say. I mean if those were able to integrate these said values from the start, they probably would have the necessary experience but they don't see the value in it at first glance so...The most important value they could at least integrate to potentially integrate the others is the open mindeness. So just to clarify if it wasn't clear enough already, NO, I NEVER MEANT TO SAY THAT INFJs hold a pain trophy or anything like that. That would be completely stupid actually since thankfully others are able to understand pain or the world would be so much darker than it already is (from a human standpoint obviously but I hope it's something most of us still share...) I just still stand by the point that this comprehension is deeper and allows them to see in a global precise framework of probabilities and future outcomes. It's simply the type's strength, just as INTJs have their own strength and can see the world through a global systemical framework. Just like any type tends to have particular strenghts depending of their functions (I hope it was at least clear that it's only talking stereotypically and not directly about people because OBVIOUSLY nurture plays a major role in this). And any INFJ who would actually think they have some kind of monopoly of pain are just immature ones with a underdeveloped Ti. It's INFJs Ti judging function which influences their Fe pushing them to believe they're objectively the only ones caring when it's nothing more than a superficial subjective perception. It's actually not the Fi critic. The only thing they need to resolve this problem is developping their analytical skills and their information processing to mature their Introverted Intuition and become more self-critical. Well not quite because as said previously, INFPs and ISFPs are very sensitive yes, but their emotions are very personal and they can hardly relate to someone or find a way to deal with it. If understanding the harshness of the world is only perceived as feeling the most amount of pain, that's clearly not getting even a glimpse of what I meant. INFJs and INFPs are not that close contrary to what is often said. Understanding the pain is being able to empathize with any form of pain, even the ones you don't relate to but also acting upon it and finding efficient solutions to deal with it or fix it. Something INFPs can fail to succeed because they rely on their own feelings to connect with others. Also by that I also meant that the introverted intuition vision can see how to apply all these solutions to the world through moral principales, philosophies and psychology to shape a more respectuous and harmonious world for EVERYONE, beyond the harshness of reality, sufferings and conflicts, not just people you like, ALSO THE ONES YOU HATE FROM THE BOTTOM OF YOUR HEART. It's aiming for a place where everyone can collaborate and express themselves because you already identified everyone's value (and everyone is important) and how they could be useful: thinkers, feelers, intuitives, sensors, EVERYONE. It's a universal and selfless approach really. I couldn't give a better metaphor than MBTI itself which really resembles the way INFJs behave on a daily basis. Trying to figure out yourself but also others, paying attention to the signs to determine who they are what they like what they hate, how this person could work with this person in this area to make this progress...THAT'S ALL WHAT THIS SENTENCE MEANS. Maybe when you'll be able to understand the interaction between Ni-Fe you'll admit the social glue that it is that can not only maintain society but also guide it to its best potential through what other types of people will come with... I'm glad to know some INTJs and INTPs who get it. Beside that I don't see the problem with an ESFJ really. They could be fine in a family with an ENFP and an INFJ or INFP or even ENFJ (even if it's not an intuitive dom, as well as INFP despite it as been mentionned numerous times already and N-F is different from F-N behavior...) Again no... An ENTJ in a sensor family would be even easier lol. THAT however, an ESTJ would be very complicated yes, especially in a family of intuitive extraverted feelers ah ah ! Well, I rather try to keep my comments short in general (even though they always contain a deeper signification) but I guess that gave me the opportunity to explain more what I meant behind this 😄.
