New to your channel. Someone mentioned you are fruit you found. LOL Your not the first one to do that. I want to go to the beach so bad snd hunt. I’m in Ga. so not close. I will get it done. On my bucket list. Happy Hunts ! Oh was it a platinum ring?
@@DMR4554 hahaha I'm a fruit I found?? Lol assuming that was a typo. You'll definitely get it done! Hope you made it out of that hurricane. And I've been lazy still haven't gotten it to a jeweler but everything seems to check out on my end! Happy hunts. -Chris
awesome hunt ! im debating on getting out in the rain today
@@scottfreeman2576 good luck out there if you do. I attempted this morning and didn't last 10 minutes with the sideways rain by me!
@@JerseyDigs glad i braved it although it wasnt bad at all lol, was only my second 3 silver day ! your luck did me good 😎
@@scottfreeman2576 nice! Happy to hear back congrats on your success. Jewelry or coins?
So, would you say that the Legend doesn't detect gold? Not good if this is the case.
@@louc.8779 no it certainly detects gold! Chains are notoriously difficult for detectors to pick up due to the links. makes for a very tough find
Una catenina leggera e con pochi karati la segnala come ferro purtroppo con qualsiasi rivelatore 😢 chissà quanta roba buona si perde per strada, comunque è sempre un ottimo ritrovamento, anche se a occhio,è questo quello che conta 👍
I just caught your cameo on Veteran Picker video and thought I would see how the search is going! I enjoyed my first video from you and have become a subscriber! Looking forward to seeing the rest of your videos!
@@stephenscott6597 Hey Stephen, happy you found the channel and thanks for the sub! Loved meeting Veteran Picker, I catch myself binge watching his videos. Again, thanks and hope you enjoy the content!
what was the recovery speed?
@@bottomfeeder12 I believe I kept it stock for this video at a 5 and toward the end I may have lowered it for the lg35 coil.
Great day at the beach! You know those gold chains are really difficult for detectors to pick up, some are a lot better at it than others. Were you detecting an M2 on the legend? I had a ML Xterra pro which was KILLER on gold, much better than my legend was and became my go-to beach machine because of it. It would have nailed that chain with no problem. I've only pulled One Platinum ring in my life as they're very hard to find but now gold is more valuable and frankly easier to find. Nice hunt!
@@stevewaters2974 thanks! Yeah they're definitely a pain and never am able to get the legend to pick those necklaces up. Yes I was in M2 those single frequencies don't give me the stability to even hear those low tones. I've done pretty well this year since getting the legend for gold, but first platinum myself! Thanks again and good luck out there
Wow. That’s a quality hunt for sure. Nice job. Finding plat is really rare.
@@idetectH2O agreed! It's my first platinum find in a little over 2 years of being back into the hobby so I'm a happy camper
What is that scoop you use? I’m so depressed from messing my left arm up using a big beach scoop this last summer. I try waiting as much as 10 days before I go back out, but the addiction is killing me and sometimes I go when it really hurts. I’m 38 and it’s my first injury to my body that’s limiting me. I used to never be a big scoop guy either until my buddy bought me a new one for my birthday and I tried it once and found it nicer than bringing my pin pointer around.
@@bigscore1 I had the same issues with my shoulders they're messed up so that's why I use this one. It's a dinky Amazon scoop that I fitted with a longer shaft. It's light but definitely not the strongest thing it bends a good amount. Got a year out of it and cost me $30.
@@JerseyDigs I’m going to go ahead and do the same thing because I’m not going to let my scoop keep me from going, I’m just going to have to figure a new way of doing it. Glad to hear I’m not the only one, though I wish this pain on no one. I can’t believe this isn’t talked more about. I had detected for 6 years before this summer season, but always with a scoop like the other one in this video, and once I went big scoop it was hard to go back to the metal hand scoop with barely any mouth to it. New sub! Great vids
Nice scores. That platinum is gorgeous. Do you keep or sell your finds?
@@bigscore1 hey man happy to have earned your sub! And agreed on the small mouth scoop they can be a pain. As for my jewelry I've been collecting it and plan on keeping it as a rainy day fund for when I really need it.
Check the chain with the 40 reading for gold
@@WisLockman I was thinking that the shame is 40khz doesn't work well at my beaches
What settings could you change to make that gold chain show up on the Legend.
@@halz7 really changing the khz to a higher one but that wouldn't work well on the beach. Makes me think how many necklaces I've walked over lol.
I just run the machine in All Metal on the beach. Works great for me. Find lots of gold that way. Issue with the Legend is that 1-10 is discriminated out in the factory programming and many gold items will ring up in that range. Cheers!
Nice, congratulations, Chris.
@@allanohlsen7729 It certainly was. Thanks, Allan.

Wow, Awesome Day!! The platinum ring is great - you beat my platinum ring find this summer of 8.94 grams, and you almost paid for your Legend in a couple hours! As much as I love summer, I'm kinda looking forward to some miserable weather and beach erosion! LOL! Hoping to get out again this Wed-Thurs. HH
@@TheMedicalDetectorist Hey Sam, thanks man! And let's hope! I'm 99% sure it's platinum but have to still bring it to a jeweler to really confirm but it checks most boxes! Curious what was your VDI for yours? Not sure what detector you use.. and same here! It really is the best time for beach detecting, less competition and deeper layers being revealed. HH
@@JerseyDigs I use the Legend too, and mine was a 25-26 VDI signal. It was my last target of the day walking back towards the exit ramp in the dry sand. I was expecting a nickel or pulltab with that VDI on my Legend, but it didnt sound like the typical multichirp sound of a pulltab at 26-27, and wasnt a solid 25 like a nickel, so I dug it and got a nice surprise! Mine said "P950 Platinum" on the marking. One post I found on google said they thought they found a nickel when it turned out to be a platinum ring. From what I also found on google, 950 could also mean 95% silver - less common than 925, but more valuable, and your VDI of 48 makes me lean more towards the silver range. Did you try to test it? I dont know about you, but whenever I try to use the silver tester, even on things marked 925, I cant really feel good about seeing the red/correct color... Like when I see patients in the ER that had checked with "Dr. Google" before coming to the ER, it turns out to be not what they thought - going to a jeweler is probably the right move, LOL! Either way, still a great find and an awesome day!!
Hi Chris, I think my prior reply got lost. My platinum ring had a VDI of 25-26 on my Legend. It was marked “P950 Platinum”. I guess the 950 could also mean 95% silver, less common than 925 but higher silver content. Your 48 VDI could be consistent with that too. I haven’t had much luck with the testing kits even when testing pieces with 925 stamp! Checking with a jewelry is a good call. Either way a great find and an awesome day!🎉
@@TheMedicalDetectoristI've been curious if this is going to be 950 silver, either way a first for me. Just funny the 48 vdi...my ring last week that was 3g lighter came in at a solid 55. I would think 95% silver at almost 10g would come in at that or higher. I'll have to confirm with the jeweler soon
@@JerseyDigs agree! 🤞
Congrats on the necklace and cool ring. Wow. I think I'm heading out soon now. Thanks. Do you use any special settings?
@@BrettM765 thanks, Brett. Way better than I thought! And nothing special with the settings I lower the recovery to a 5 from the default 6 in beach mode. MW the whole time highest sensitivity conditions allow. I've just been making sure to keep that coil low and level throughout my swing I think that's the biggest thing that's made for better hunts for me I used to swing fast and in a U shape a lot.
@@JerseyDigs Sounds good. I have the Legend and when it took weeks for them to fix my speaker, I got a WS6 Master. 800 bucks but it's amazing. Lightweight and not chattery. I found 9 gold rings and maybe 50-60 rings total this summer. I sold 4 mens bands for $793 a few weeks ago. It's hard to put down but it isn't fully waterproof and the wireless/antenna can be a pain sometimes. I sold out but it paid off big-time. Check it out. Good luck.

@@diggingnashvegas I was pulling coins over a foot today in the wet sand. Felt like stuff was everywhere
Well too bad it wasn't gold, nice silver ring though, chatter could be extra salinity in the water at the time , sounds odd but it can vary
@@diggingnashvegas lot of heartbreaker's this year in the gold ring department. The black sand seems to be moreso the issue but the legend handled it really well. I get chatter at a certain part of this beach no matter what I do it's there but I just avoid that area or do the dry in single freq. Thanks for checking the video out

Congrats Chris, nice chunky silver ring and other jewelry! That diamond ring looked so good. Nice bounce back in the wet! BTW, the platinum ring I found this summer rang up a 25-26 on my Legend so unfortunately now I’m stuck digging all those nickel vs pulltab signals😂

@@johnurso5184 I was thinking the same. Most ive had in a single day at the beach in a while. For mine it's specifically corona bottle caps but the bc filter does the trick most of the time.
@JerseyDigs what do you have yours set at. Mines at 3 because I heard if it's set too high it can filter out gold or silver accidentally. That would make a good test to do in a video...
