I’ve always wanted to share my experience with vintage guitars and amplifiers, it’s just something that you don't see everyday and I love doing these videos, it would be appreciated if you can subscribe to my TH-cam channel to see more upcoming videos and go check out some of my videos that I have uploaded. Playing an ORIGINAL 1977 Gibson SG Standard!
Hi everyone,
I haven’t uploaded in a while, but I’m back. I’ve got a few videos I’m currently editing at the moment. I hope everyone is well!
Today we’re checking out an original 1977 Gibson SG Standard in Cherry Red, at Found Sound in Brunswick, Melbourne, Victoria. This guitar is really beautiful and plays very well, it has a very twangy tone to it. A bit of Flick Of The Switch ‘era style. But overall such a great guitar.
I’m playing through a Marshall JTM1 Combo Amplifier, with no effects. This has such a great tone into this SG, such a killer. Unfortunately it does have a headstock repair, but you can’t really notice it from further away, they did a great job with the repair. They’re asking for $4,500.
If you’re interested in this guitar, mention my name to the guys at Found Sound and go check it out, check out the video in complete detail on this guitar.
If you like this video, please give it a Like, Comment and also Subscribe to my channel, for more videos like this. I love doing these videos. There’s an upcoming video that’s a very rare guitar, I probably won’t be able to see one or touch one ever again. So stay tuned for that!
Anyways, thanks for watching as always!

Is AC30 ok with lower volumes. I can do bright easily with it and with Master Volume breaking/distorion sounds with lower volumes?
Whitest black guy I've seen
My phone was vibrating.. holy smokes!
This sounds like the pick up poles are out of radius and not dialed into string height. Classic factory settings. I genuinely can't believe they send them out like that.
Can i use this amp in my room? My friend told me you can not use this in the home...because it's sound is very loud even on volum 1..please let me know
I would love to be your neighbor, man!
Nice mate noice
*chirp*
It sounds fantastic but looks painful
Horrible
CHANGE YOUR SMOKE ALARM BATTERY
It wouldn't be something special about just the superlead when it comes to volume. I think all 100 watt heads are equally 🔊 I have an Engl fireball 100 Wich is of course very loud.
Looks like melbourne
Fun fact: I think I watched your video a few months ago. Recently, I was looking for several videos of the Epiphone g400 custom les paul guitar, with this old look and 3 pickups. I remembered your video, and I thought it was a video about the guitar, I searched for your video for WEEKS and I couldn't find it at all, I even thought it was a freak. (I looked for the video because I thought it looked very elegant with the color of the guitar). Anyway, today I went looking for a video about 1959 and found your video again without looking... hahahah
It looks like you’re playing a Buick
Que horrible debe ser tener a este cabrón de vecino.
Awesome 🔥🔥🔥
Pro tip. Tune your guitar.
Dream amp with a dream guitar, playing an amazing song !!!! 🎶 🎉
Just ordered a used 30. Already have an AC15 and a 10 so…. I don’t know where I’ll put though ha ha. Beside the Twin I guess.
Unless you’re scared of copyright infringement, you don’t have to disguise the fact that you’re playing Whole Lotta Rosie, haha (4:29)
Hey, sorry I’m skeptical of copyright. Because a lot of my videos were copyrighted due to the fact that I played riffs and it somewhat sounded like the original. :/ but thank you for watching my video.
I am willing to bet a lot that there’s at least one ad for this guitar which looks like this: The all-new-ish Malcolm Young signature G6131-MY: “If you find a better plectrum-devourer, you’re in hollowbody-land!” “Ah lov’d it. Ay laht” -Scott Ian, Anthrax
Gotta love an amp that requires hearing protection 😂
100%! It needs hearing protection. It was extremely loud.
Now you have to get over the guilt and you'll be fine. Would have been fun to do it again and see what she has to say.
Hahaha! They weren’t happy. There were piano lessons and all you hear is a 100% 10 10 10 cranked plexi hahaha
Man, I can’t get past the badly tuned guitar!!!!!!
Hey man, sorry you had to hear that. I had noticed after uploading the video. It sounded like it was out of tune. But in the origins recorded video. It sounds in tune. It’s very weird.
I have one of these trust me, the answer to this question is "Very fucking loud", This amp will eat your children.
100%! These amps are very loud. I’m glad that they have a master volume. But then again. I like it without master volume at the same time. But this Vox blows out people. I had friends and family. They’re like.. 30 watts.. that’s nothing. My speakers are 1000watt (car speakers). I’m like sit down anywhere and listen. I played a couple chords and they said to turn it down. I gradually got up to volume. But they were surprised. I said. This thing is like a little baby but when it screams. It causes attention that people don’t realise.
Blow out the windows and knock the walls down loud, which is why you need either a good attenuator or Master Volume. When it comes to playing through a 2x12 or 4x12 speaker cabinet, if you're playing through a Plexi or Modded Plexi Amp, Celestion UK Made Greenback Speakers are the absolute best speakers to showcase those Plexi and Modded Plexi Amp Sounds, imho. They're my overall favorite speakers, regardless to what amp, I'm playIng through. Being that Classic Rock, 80's Hard Rock, and 80's Hair Metal are my favorite genre's of music to play, The Greenbacks always seem to compliment those genre's of music the best, imho. Good Day Mate. One day, I plan on fulfilling a dream vacation on my Bucket List, by coming to Australia to take an Outback Tour. I've always loved and been fascinated with Australia! ❤
Hi there, thank you for checking out my video. I appreciate it. It was very fun! It’s extremely loud. Definitely need heating plugs and muffs. For sure!!
What amp mate?
PLEASE TUNE YOUR GUITAR
Hi, I’m sorry to hear about this, in the origins recording before TH-cam processes it. It’s in tune. I am not sure why it sounds out of tune on TH-cam. Which annoys me to this day.
Make more videos so fking out of tune
Amazing!! And quite fun too tough.. What’s the risk of exploding the speaker?
I don’t think it’s gonna explode the speaker. But it’ll be good to break in. I’ve still got my amp til this day. It’s good fun. But very loud.
These old Marshalls let you not only hear the sound but feel it, right in your chest!
This is the exact feeling I got. Like everything was shaking. It was crazy! But such an experience.
Hollow bodys feedback too much. Try Les Paul custom
I do have a Les Paul, but I thought I’d do the video with my white falcon. But yes. Definitely feedbacks a lot. The whole guitar shakes.
I heard tie your mother down is forbidden in iceland
Oh really?! I’m sorry to hear.
Euh. What are you trying to prove? They aren t meant to be plsyed loud @ home. They were meant to outscream thousands of crazy mad Beatles fangirls and to hand Brian a hand playing stadiums. Uterly useless at home. I had one too. Nice for gigs. Pretty useless for anything else. Play them through an attenuator. But Im at a loss: burning to much power only to soak it in again. Small amps are soo much more convenient.
100%. The little amps are very handy.. but this is overkill. But it’s good fun to open its wings.
100% AND they came out of a time audience PAs did hardly exist, sonsound had to come from the stage. Any sensible artist has a beautiful little pure tube amp sounding great at home, in the studio, on mini gigs and get amplified in the stadium. Behind some great, silent, impressive rock amp walls a small screaming 15 watt amp was hiding, miked up to the PA and the in ears for the band. 100 or 200 stage amps are somewhat obsolete. You can pick up bargains on the 2nd hand market for that reason. The Beatles of today would have gone back to their original AC15s I bet. My Mesa amp only is played at 5 or 15, never at the deafening 25/30 watt modes.
Who would have thought a 100-watt Plexi would get a noise complaint?
Hi John, thank you for watching my video. Definitely did! It was amazing. Really loud and I’m telling you.. it’s loud hahah
Put an SPL meter in front and play pink noise through it fgs! Check the max input level in dBV and do it! This is just for infants……my amp goes real loud man dude ………..
I should’ve added a dB meter, they are really Fucken loud.
Gibson incorrectly used the pre 65 neck joint on this ten grand "reproduction"
This is interesting, good to know!
2:29
This guy has balls
Hahahah, I wouldn’t recommend the dB, you really need to use earmuffs and earplugs, it’s ridiculously loud.
I hope you’re wearing ear protection. That sounded good.
Hi there, thank you for your comment. It did sound awesome. Get subscribed for more videos.
I love playing loud, but the noise hiss from an amp that's turned up loud and waiting to be played fills me with so much anxiety. Like the slightest pop or touch of a string will blow your fucking head off
100%, they’re very loud amplifiers. Get subscribed for more videos.

If you watch closely, you can see bits of plaster coming loose from the ceiling and cracks forming in the walls.
Hi There, I believe there was, because there was a lot of vibration. When I cranked it all to 10. The bass was insane! My whole body was completely vibrating.
I'm happy for you but why the hell is it that it always people who can't play have all the good gear. He skipped the squire and blues jr and started with a bang lol
I’m sorry to hear that. But the amplifier is very loud. Would 100% need ear protection.
Did you measure decibels?
Unfortunately not, but I did once. It was around 124dB. Which is loud!
Next time try a tuner first.
Hi Paul, I apologise for this. When I play back videos on my computer. It sounds fine. But when it plays on TH-cam. It compresses it and sounds a little off.
?
Bore off Paul
I just tried turning the speaker backwards to lower the volume (it worked). I got a thd hotplate too but it isn't the same!
Yeah nice, it’s definitely loud. But it brings out a nice tone.
Do you think it's ok for bar gigs ?
Honestly it’s perfect since it has a master volume. They’re awesome amp!
Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart. This was so cool.
