6 months on, is this still working well? Still quiet at night?

I have a 2022 legend caravan, it’s fitted with a 200ah lithium battery, in the same under bed compartment is a gas heater, this area is only vented to the cabin. Is this a safe/ legal installation.

Great looking van, and even better looking 12v setup. The owners are going to have fantastic peace of mind as they travel around Australia. Nice work.

With the new battery laws...Should the battery's have been installed in a sealed compartment, vented to the outside? What is the cost of installing this system?

That looks like a slat bed, what does a sealed lid look like, I still haven't seen one provided by any You Tube video.

Awesome vid guys for us it was power system so we can work off grid, do35 hitch for safety and starlink we run a boat bung into the tunnel boot which houses the starlink modem and then we have a bbq arm starlink pole which is game changing

Dose'nt this new regulation state that it applys to new instilations from November 2023 when the new regs were introduced ?

I reckon all battery should be mounted on the draw bar of the van,never inside also a isolation switch on the outside as well,let the battery breathe and not lock in a box under your bed.

It looks like you have only isolated the Positive side of the solar panels. Do you also need to isolate the Negative using a Double Pole isolator, as you do have to do this for American standards?

Hi We just bought a second hand Caravan with this Vario gas heater installed I have the LCD display mounted in the kitchen but there is no temp sensor that I can see at the bottom of the LVD screen as shown in some videos I watched Where would I likely find that sensor in the caravan? The Vario is installed under the kitchen sink Any suggestions would be appreciated Thank you

Is there solar systems on vans that can run the air con and charge the battery or hold the battery whole a/c is in cycle Like 1500watt 1700watss and I guess that depends on the sun I guess what I am askin .....there wouldn't be to many solar systems over 1800watts .....

Regarding solar in series, do you have to fuse them individually or per series configuration? Because normally you would series them on the roof before coming in.

*Works so well **Fastly.Cool** that it only requires daytime operation until high temp and humidity are overnight. It is difficult to get to side filters, but back is easily accessible.*

Just bought an Sprinter with the Varioheat installed, can i use it while driving???

Where do you normally mount the temp sensor in the caravans you fit these to? I know Truma say above the entry door but I think that's for Europe where a cold blast might come in the door on a motorhome during the day. Wouldn't it make more sense to put it lower around bed height in Australia as that's the level where you want the temp to remain close to what you dialled in on the control, especially during the night while you're sleeping, not up near the ceiling. I would've thought the hot air rises to the ceiling and triggers the temp sensor above the entry door to early leaving the bed area still cold.
