How to change a Jeep Compass Upper Radiator Hose

Radiator hoses connect the top of the radiator to the top of the engine, as well as the bottom of the radiator to the water pump. Radiator hoses are essential to keeping fresh coolant running throughout your vehicle. This not only keeps the engine running at the optimal temperature but also keeps your heating and air conditioning working optimally. Radiator hoses should be firm, but not hard. A hose that feels brittle, spongy or soft should be replaced, even if it’s just one spot on the hose that feels that way. A leaky radiator hose will cause your vehicle to lose coolant, which can cause more serious issues, like overheating. It is difficult to see wear on radiator hoses, so it’s a good idea to replace them every 100,000 miles or so. If you're handy and want to save a couple hundred bucks watch this video it might hold some information for your DIY exchange

my coolant reservoir tank hose keeps leaking at the top anyone know how to fix this

Thank you. Mine broke 2 hours from home but I was able to replace it and keep it moving. I will go buy that sensor cleaner. I did not have $300 to give the shop to do it. Thanks!!

I used dorma. Part number 902-305 and didnt have to change hoses
Yup, That Dorman 902-305 one is better, cheaper and will last about the same than the remaining life of the hoses, mine started to leak so I replaced mine, there was an aluminum version available (not Dorman) but I preferred the plastic one had better design for the clamps.

For those who are wondering do you need a T55 wrench to remove the backseat bolts

Did u hear it when u turned the key on mine will not start but I can hear my Pump kick on
If it’s the same old pump you might still hear it but the pump might be clogged or defective, if it’s the new pump make sure you installed the fuel injector correctly. Also check fuel injector by the engine spark plugs .
I cleared the cat and put it back on and now the car won’t start ran fine before taking the cat on the manifold off and clearing it

Do you happen to know if the 16 patriot fuel pump is in the same location?
I’d recommend you going to auto zone , pep boys , advance auto body and give them your Vin Number they will give you the exact fuel pump for that model . However the install process will be the same. Good luck please like & subscribe thanks for watching

Do you need to empty all the coolant?
Yes I would recommend that. Good luck make sure you don’t pour the coolant into the sewer lines. Or in the environment. Take it to the local auto shop or vivoline they discard of those hazardous fluids.
