To all the young people, unless you are going into the health, engineering or law field. Do NOT go to college. The best thing you can have right now is no student loans, even if your parents are going to pay for it. Take that money and invest it.

Difficult times are coming. Got laid of after 9 years as frontend dev. CEO of the company told me they have no money for salaries, litteraly have to get loans to pay sallaries. I feel you bro. Warehouse work is ok as a guy in your 20's. Once 30+ hits, you feel every lift you do incorrectly and your back tells you. I recommend if you are in a situation where warehouse work is the best you can get, try to get forklift certified. If you work in a warehouse I assume they have forklifts, then if you stay there a year or two, you can basically become a pro with it. They, put 2+ years forklift experience on your resume, and look for a big manufacturer, (pet food is good, no freezers) and apply for a forklift driver position. They avg 25-28 starting, and I know that's a fair bit better than warehouse box tosser and much easier physically.

Join the Navy, Air Force, or Space Force, and use that time to find your purpose while providing some stability to your situation. Age limit is 41, sign up before its too late. Do not disclose any of your mental stuff, you will be okay. You get the GI Bill after you complete your 4 year contract, and u can use that to go back to school to learn a new trade. You can also claim mental disability compensation afterwards too and get lifelong treatment (health insurance through the VA)

I'm only 26, but you seriously remind me of myself it's crazy. Similar addictions, similar conclusions. I would recommend the book "Practice of Brahmacharya," there's a free PDF online. The book itself is a bit repetitive, but broken down in short segments... I've been brute forcing it and reading it daily. This practice really does help you brute force a lot of things in life while staying on the righteous path, it's about purity essentially. And could be used in pair with your belief system.

I was growing up during the “learn how to code” phase and now all I see is people who got jobs in tech getting laid off I didn’t go to college or get any fancy jobs or learn any fancy trades and now you and I are in the same job class :)
