I am rebuilding the same car. There was only about 2500 Signet Convertibles built in 1966. I want, and have collected, the same options as yours. I agree with you about finding the trim for a Signet, because I see you need the same Trim piece across the bottom of the Trunk lid, with the Valiant call out. Maybe someone could contact us with one?

they sell 1/4 inch sheets or hardboard that are not very expensive, but the cardboard works fine too.

Lovely looking car imo, but the cam in head engine is a slug. The chassis rails are very close together so getting a v8 in is very tight, a straight six would be a better option. The gearbox is tiny and so is the tunnel and the back axle is an oddball too. Do your research before you decide to hot rod a manta A would be my advice.

Omg! I had the same exact car, same color, motor (1.9) etc. Is yours the dual carb? I loved that car! Back in ‘74 it was FAST! and fun!

I love it Rich! I know you had one already that you sold. This one obviously was too nice to pass over. Those taillights are used on many of the Italian exotics (or perhaps very similar to those). My first car was a 1970 Opel GT that I fixed up as a teenager and really enjoyed. I always thought the Manta styling was OK, but as it ages (or as I age) I now love the styling. Great video as usual!

Fantastic! Just so nice looking. Look fast sitting still. Espada rear window, before back up cams. (haha) Designs before 5mph bumpers, pedestrian standards, rollover standards. Less restrictions on design. (not that stuff that save lives is bad) Just breath taking designs. Thx for showing. Went to one of these so long ago, might have had Conestogas.

Some of my favorite era of cars. Maybe a rubber band or elastic to act like a suspension on motor guide pin rail instead of tape. Thanks for sharing experience

I have had decent luck with aw cars

I may have to try a couple of these. Look like they run like Auroras. I go through what you go through getting old Tjets to run and wheel bases. Its about time for a new mouse trap. I have the OSX TSX guide pins. They seem to help the car stay in the slot better. Thanks for your review. ....And yes! to non magneted throttle controlled cars
