Feels good, it is quite a step on the Pan Americana to leave the English spoken North America and dive into Latin America. That is a completely different world south of the border 👍🏻🙏

Thank you for this lovely comment Laszlo 🙏 Yes I guess we have used the heating there at the Hole in the Ground. Mostly we switch it on in the early morning when it get cold. We just run in one region the whole night. That was in Scandinavia in late fall where the while landscape was already stiff frozen. In less than 2 weeks we're going to continue our trip in the USA. Looking really forward to that.

@@next-horizon-overland No mistaking the sound of a diesel heater , sounds like a clothes dryer running . Yes I heard it at midnight when I showed up looking for my camp spot. I hope you were able to find a repair shop for the DJI overseas , enjoy!

Stunning scenery certainly given you some fantastic memories. Jiew looks so comfortable driving on the roads giving you a welcome break. Thanks Gerald Indeed it is our goal not to publish any rubbish-must-haves just to get some material or money from sponsors. Meanwhile we are getting some sponsoring but we are very careful with this issue - exactly for the reason of those rubbish-must -haves. We still follow up the idea that regarding overloading less is simply more. Less stress with rubbish 👍🏻😀. Soon we're back in the USA and travel then definitely south. We're looking forward to that. In about 3 weeks we'll come back to LA and continue then our trip on the Pan Americana further south trough Mexico and Central America. Gonna be a totally different there. The Far North is extremely beautiful, no doubt. We would go back any time (except in the winter of course haha!). But also the west of the USA has so many beautiful places. We could easily travel some more years in the west only. But now it is time to explore some new countries ... Take good care Ernst & Jiew

Hi Gerald. Thanks for the comment. Yes indeed the Troopy is stored in Los Angeles with some relatives there. It is a safe region of LA (but anyway I check the apple tag daily haha). In a month we already travel back to the USA and travel then quite straight down south. We have to do some maintenance on the Troopy in Arizona (we get a new windshield finally!) and then Central America is waiting for us. Looking forward to that. Take care, Ernst & Jiew

It is tragic here in Chiang Mai. The water went but the damage in property is immense .. lots of people lost a lot …

Hahaha yes indeed, in a forest like Redwoods ,you just can look up haha. In deserts the eyes are looking to the horizon indeed. We love both, deserts and forests. The redwood forests in California are mind blowing. And yes we covered in this episode many places but just drove trough. We planned to visit the Golden Gate Bridge but as always the cities just scare us. So we left San Franciso with out a stop haha. The pleasure to meet you in Oregon is also on our side 🙏. Always remember that meeting there and thank you a lot for your support here. Really life is to short to stay at home and work 👍🏻🙏

Indeed time is flying so fast. Incredible. Isn’t it one of the reasons we love to have a troopy and get out into the landscape- all those cool goodies hahaha 😆

Hahaha 😆. Nope it won’t be a cruise 😂. Couldn’t imagine myself on a cruise ship … but who knows what’s up in 20 years 😀. But just between us (don’t tell it around haha), after two years on the road we’re taking a break and kick up the feet for 3 months … after that (in November we’re back in Los Angeles where we park the troopy) we’re traveling south south south … until there is no more south 😃👍🏻.

Indeed great experience. Maybe it would have been better to visit Yellowstone in October. The peak season is really crowded. But okay it’s beautiful anyway. Thanks Gerald

Yes, that is the disadvantage of national parks, no boondocking, campgrounds fully booked months ahead and usually crowded. But then the landscape and wildlife is always spectacular in those parks. We just have been on highway 1. Unfortunately after Big Sur it is closed since two or three years due to massive landslides. Well okay we drove to Big Sur and then back north to Monterey. Haha 😂, yes the boxes are unharmed. Zarges, a german product and probably indestructible 😃. We are again and again amazed about the landscapes of North America. They are so varying. Just today we drive from the forests of the Rockies out into vast deserts of Nevada. Amazing! What a change! Now we are on the way to the Pacific Coast. Looking forward to that.
