Rapunzul….VERY interesting comment. i’m 80 years old and have always believed the dispensational premillennial view. Just accepted that you had to split off the 70th week of Daniel, etc etc. but 5years ago, by accident, ran into the Preterist view. What a simple pure view of scripture. And Jesus’s predictions about returning before that generation ended can just be accepted, no twisted scripture like at the end of a certain verse, POOF! Now we’re post 2024.

No rapture- but what is true- & absolutely is that people want to be right! I was reassured that its OK not to know for sure- all I really care about is that Hes coming and I can be with Him. It doesnt matter if its on earth or a different realm because I cant begin to imagine either one. Trying to de code the future and end times makes me worried, confused, frustrated and obsessing on things I have no control over & He has not made clear

I find Christians that use the end times as a whipping post to put a non believer in a literal lake of fire lacking in Grace and true love and a desired fellowship it is actually insulting and a huge turn off to a non believer as well as a believer. Please do not witness without the Holy Spirit.. That isn't the Jesus I met.

Joseph and his son Manasseh are in the revelation Israel tribes list - this is probably because Joseph was given a double portion by God. It also means that Ephraim is not in the list (Joseph's other son), being replaced by his father Joseph.

It is good there is much more than Daniel and the "weeks" verse, to back up a pre-Tribulation Rapture and the end of the Church Age. One would have to explain away many other passages in both the Old and New Testaments and throw verses out, to get another view to fit.

What Michael points out is that it is important to rightly divide the scriptures. Jesus, reading from the scrolls, stopped at a comma and closed it. The remainder of the sentence was reserved for 2,000 years later. Understanding prophecy is not an intellectual endeavor. It is walking with God, submitting to The Word, and being infilled of the Spirit. We CANNOT “just figure it out”

A really sound review of the PreWraith Rapture position. Obviously, it is no secret which way I lean but at 71 years old I am not going to see either the Tribulation period or a Rapture. There is only going to be one Second Coming of Christ, no matter what one’s position on the Rapture.

Already and not yet explains two expressions of resurrection and two expressions of kingdom. We are dead when Christ raises us inwardly to newness of life…but then someday after our bodies die we are resurrected physically. That inward resurrection is the kingdom that is within us. The someday resurrection may be the kingdom yet to come.

The problem with rapture interpretation is believers think there is just one and try to pigeon hole it as a singular event when scripture mentions it in multiple places at multiple times. First was Enoch, then Elijah (potential 2 witnesses), then Jesus and the saints seen walking the holy city in Matt 27:52, then the Church, 2 witnesses, the 144K Israelites (the man-child of Revelation 12), End of Trib saints (Rev 14:15-16) and finally the Tribulation Saints in Rev 20:4 which concludes the first resurrection. Its linear and makes perfect sense.

It’s your Faith that saves you. So believe what is written with Faith so then it’s very clear you will see. The tribulation is just like Daniel heard from the Angel of God. It’s all right there in sequence. God is not the author of confusion so don’t doubt what He is telling us through His Word. Don’t be confused by tearing everything apart making sure you are perfectly right because it’s all written and it falls together. Understand the whole plan of God as it is all written. The Rapture is a resurrection when the bodies rise from the grave and rise also those living will change in the twinkling of an eye into the immortal body.

So odd that many consider "rapture" to be the "Blessed Hope". When it's so obvious that the Blessed Hope is the Appearing of Our Lord and Saviour. In other words, the blessed hope isn't only for the very last batch of saints in church-age history, but for every single saint throughout all history, starting with Abel. But how you encounter that Blessed Hope, by rising from the grave, or being changed in the twinkling of an eye, is really secondary. THE LORD is the blessed hope, NOT the fact of avoiding a few bad years of world history..

Every word represents a loss of information. No text can completely and precisely convey a complete idea (of any reasonable complexity) because each word in the text represents some degree of lost information. Its what happens when you move from analog to digital - continuous to discreet. Thats one reason why in some ways poetry conveys certain kinds of ideas better than straight prose.

The rapture is unavoidably linked to the resurrection of the dead in Christ (It happens first) and then all go into the Millennium with the Lord. 2 Thes. 2 tells you when it happens: On the DAY of the Lord. Then he says that DAY will not come until the apostasia and the man of sin is revealed via the abomination. Revelation tells us when the Day of the Lord begins. 7th Trumpet (the last one) when, "the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of God and His Christ. ... For you have taken your great power and BEGUN to reign". THEN God's wrath is poured out via the bowl judgements as Messiah wages a bloody conquest, liberating captive Jews that look upon Him whom they pierced.

Michael seemed to be most passionate in his explanation of the Amillennial position. The Kingdom is NOW according to Scripture: - God will set up His Kingdom during the days of the last of the four empires: Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Rome, and His Kingdom will devour all four of those kingdoms, and it shall stand forever. (Dan 2:44) And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, [but] it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. - The Kingdom came in with the King: (Mark 1:15) And saying, The time is fulfilled, and *_the kingdom of God is at hand:_* repent ye, and believe the gospel. - The Kingdom of God was Christ standing in their midst (Luke 17:21) nor will they say, ‘Look, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”, and the Kingdom is within every Believer in the New Covenant: (Col 1:13) For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, - The Disciples thought the Kingdom was going to appear physically and immediately, they didn't know yet the Gospel call was going out to all the nations, and Gentile people, to grow His Kingdom, with much persecution of the laborers. When He comes again, the King will settle with the ones who were against Him, and reward those who followed Him. (Luke 19:11-27) - The nations of them *_who are saved_* will bring honor to Him during His Reign (not the evil kingdoms of the earth), and the Kings that will walk in the Kingdom with Him are the Believers. Every Believer is a king and priest. (Rev 21:24) And *_the nations of them which are saved shall walk in the light of it:_* and the kings of the earth do bring their glory and honour into it. (Rev 1:6) And *_hath made us kings_* and priests unto God and his Father; to him [be] glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. - God's Kingdom is not physical, it's spiritual: (Rom 14:17) for *_the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit._*

Chuck Missler wrongly founds his theology on the Church being the Bride of Christ. He is not alone on this error which clouds his whole teaching arriving at a doctrine of imminence of the rapture so the church can attend an invitation only marriage supper. This leads to two second comings so the church would have to be raptured in the first second coming imminently and he coming back with the church at the end of the tribulation in the second second coming.
