i love this. this is a book written by David Simon and his time with the BPD Homicide squad. It has a TV show, and it was a precursor to the HBO Show The Wire. You should read The Corner by the same author

I have this book its so good

They rushed the movie. Reviews for it was not even half halfway decent enough for the producers to adapt any of the following sequels. It’s almost as if they did somewhat of what David Lynch did with Dune back in the 80s. That movie wasn’t good. Just read the book series. Maybe check out the 2000 miniseries series as well as the new movies from the past 3 years.

Did you actually watch the movie? I don’t think you did. Suggest you rewatch and also the director comments. The book also doesn’t clarify if Christine is haunted either. That’s why the movie did the same. They left it ominous.

Great reviews! I completely understand about a book hitting the *squick* factor. I'm reading a lot of danmei right now and while some it pushes the line, it's still been with full consent and nothing that really gets me. Honestly, most of them are great and are just those kind of stories that really stick with you. Buuuut...Lol, there is one recommended book with a good following that I just can't get past the first several chapters. Someday I might try again, but whoo-boy, it's probably gonna be awhile.

I think it's ment to be more of a slice of life than anything else; it's about the characters, not their world. It can afford a little bit of fantasy

Beastars is great! My reading has been extremely slow but still chugging along. More audiobooks than physical because they’re more practical when I have art drops to do.
