Besides like Jake's and that one Halloween mod, there really isn't much original mods for the game so i really like this mod

I was shocked when the news first got put online. Luckily i have most of these titles in the de-listing. I'm hoping that in the future Sega relists these classics in new compliations with enhancements. Check out my channel for retro video game collections, reviews abd vinyl record videos.

Artificial scarcity.. Intentionally make something that isn't selling very well "disappear" in order to make people think they'll never get that thing, so they feel pressured to buy it up now or never see it again. It's a very savy business tactic that companies use to achieve short-term goals. Sega isn't making enough sales on their classic games releases (because it wasn't high enough on anyone's priority list to buy right away). If they were making big sales off these classics, they would never de-list them, as it would be stupid to purposely sever a cash cow. So they let everyone know they are going to de-list them all soon in order to artificially create a surge of sales. This works because it creates the "FOMO" effect. People who may not have bought these games for whatever reason, now feel pressured to buy them now or forever lose out. Thus creating a short-term boom in sales. Then Sega will list them back up again in a year or so, or in some kind of "remaster collection" etc. Just look at the comments section here as proof. Lots of people instantly cracking their wallets to buy these games and add them to their collections, because they think they will never have another chance later. Works, every, time!

Sega made a business move. The same business move they repeated for decades. Its not a "stupid" move. You can argue that its anti-consumer, but that term means nothing outside the internet and Twitter. The purpose of Sega rereleasing games is to bring X amount of revenue to report at the stockholders meeting. Not to be your buddy, its meant to report earnings. I expected Sega to do this.

You forgot to mention Genesis collection has a physical edition on all platforms and Dreamcast collection has a xbox360 physical that's backwards compatible on series X

I'm pretty positive that, like you said, we may be getting collections of these games or something. It's SEGA's pattern to take down old games they're re-releasing, like they did with the classic Sonic trilogy for Sonic Origins. I doubt SEGA would just wanna stop the cash flow from older titles for no reason. My main concern is that SEGA has a rocky history with re-releases. Sonic X Shadow Generations has been pretty great all around (excluding a couple hiccups here and there), but they've also put out their fair share of low-effort remasters and re-releases. I hope this collection/re-release/whatever it is they're planning is done well and not rushed out for a quick buck.

Getting Jet Set Radio right now. I've wanted to try it a lot lately, it has been on the mind. This is the first time that that game in particular is being mentioned, so far all I'd heard was Crazy Taxi and some of the Genesis games. Thanks for the heads-up 👍

First off, they have been on Steam for over a decade and with all the sales since then they made a lot of money from them. Secondly these are a bunch of franchises that are getting new entries or remakes in the near future. Third, the system requirements are outdated for a bunch of them. Fourth, there's tons of Genesis collections and ways to play them out there. Sega still has Sega Ages on Switch as well as the Genesis on Switch Online not to mention all the physical copies of the Sega Genesis collection still floating around store shelves for every console. As for Saturn and Dreamcast games, we might get collections. MAYBE.
