Duane got to me the same way. The Fillmore East album was the first Allman brothers that I heard. Ok the Allman Brothers band… then Duane jumps off with Statesboro blues. Wow I was mesmerized. I haven’t been the same since. It took me an eternity to learn the he was playing in open e. Thanks for sharing.

Quick question for you and/or anyone out there: I’m trying to convert a jazz guitar Gibson ES 135 into a blues one and I would like to know what’re the best strings I can put on it for slide but that I can also play without it. And what distance from the fretboard should I use? I have Elixir 0,11 and the low strings hardly make any sound with the slide on them. Cheers and blessings.

You know you have a good amp under you, when you forget about the amp while you’re playing,, this is the second “test” that I recorded, and both of them I got lost in the playing… and forgot all about the amp,, that’s when you know it’s doing its job,
