BELGIAN PARAGLIDING OPEN 2024 - TASK 2
BELGIAN PARAGLIDING OPEN 2024 - TASK 2
Very sad news today: Edmund, my beloved Veteran Sherman, has died. Edmund was my electric unicycle who brought me a lot of joy and shared many adventures over the last few years. We had one last amazing trip through the Alps together until he decided to part ways and plunged down the mountain from a few hundred meters. RIP Edmund.

Today, on my 41th birthday, I flew my first task of the year after not flying for 8 months. It was also my first time flying the Peak5 EN-D wing and Cannibal Race2 harness. The weather was rough, and the task got stopped near the end. I ended up in 31st place out of 130 overall. Our Belgian buddy Rik had a mishap and crashed into some trees. Luckily, he only ended up with a few broken ribs.

BPO 2023 task5 and price ceremony Bpo has come to an end. I had a great start but the stable conditions, the blue skies and the tricky flatlands did not worked well for me. Nevertheless a great week and an amazing experience. Belgian Paragliding Open 2022 - task 4 Last year's BPO Task 4 was definitely one of the most challenging races I did. After hurting my foot and knee, I managed to survive a near mid-air collision and had to work my way up after two very low saves. With a broken speedbar, damaged brakeline, and without any water, I still crawled all alone towards the goal, which was 66km further. still in time f...

WoW! That’s Incredibly Awesome And Breathtaking!
Great channel, new subscriber
Great video and excellent editing. Really enjoyed it well done. Cheers Gerry
👍
Najlepsze miejsce do latania także dla szybowców...
💪💪 fantastic 😍
all the best for Rik, crossing fingers for him
👍главное долго не находится в этом режиме😂
I'm curious if you bought this machine directly from the Power2Fly factory? This brand is known for disregarding their dealer network and also selling directly to end customers behind their dealers' backs. I have experienced this myself. After several attempts to resolve this issue amicably with owner Miguel Simōes, it became clear that he does not respect these agreements and imposes his own version of the truth. Naturally, I immediately gave up the dealership afterwards.
Hi Jeroen, what you say is true but i bought my gear trough Aymard from Parmofix in belgium. For the 500e extra on the gear i have a very good service and support. Dealing directly with the manufacturer in Portugal would be a total nightmare. I dont really know miguel but i was always very satisfied with the quality. Grtz
Crash is impressive, glad he is "ok" with some broken ribs at least.
Good stuff and grats on your placement especially when not having flown in 8 months and on new gear😯 Was the crash in the vid the one from Rik? hope he recovered well!
thanks, Yes , that was Rik. he's ok
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Thumbs up for this upload, cheers Ivo! Best, Rob ^^
Che macchina! ❤ se usavi anche l'accessorio sabbiatrice sarebbero venuto perfetto! ❤
hello buddy just to let you know i done what you showed me to do to get in pod and works perfect thank you for all your surport and all the best to you
How did the risers work out? Even though they are paraglider risers, are they ok for paramotor?
yes sure, risers are fine. you don't really need trimmers. that wing is perfect if you are learning to thermal with an engine.
Nice vid! When was this flight?
Hi , this was last year in May. the full documentary is posted on the scout aviation YT channel
Hype for spring 🫡
Thank you so much for the vid looks like you bringing one leg across the other like weight shift then putting footplate over foot I will try that.all the best to you thanks again
Hello buddy we have had chat before about the pod got mine set up nice hanging in garage can get in it just fine but in flight I can't get get in it try on a number of flight today but managed it once but a struggle any idea of what I maybe doing wrong thank you mate
th-cam.com/users/clipUgkxxTOdzX9z230qcPrFji1SFAzWzYSV4vIY?si=kUADrCBRYkN8zi8A this is how i did it. I cant make any better footage, asi currently dont have a paramotor anymore
hello buddy got the pod today but 4 hours later still cant get in and out of it its the red strap i cant do think my arms our to short hahaha also can get a ajustment to lower the pod so its being sent back tomorrow shame as its a nice bit
hi! could you tell me total weight of paramotor (frame,motor,prop...) without fuel.. Thanks!
Around 55lbs 25kg + reserve + fuel.. yes , paramotors are heavy
@@IvoBELGIUM wow! heavy!?! i see light for me! My gear: around 31kg (V3 paramotor,Thor 130 engine,Helix 130,Reserve inc.)..
@@ZeroGMVideos Now i fly with a 19kg dry weight scout Zero. much lighter
just orderd the gin paramotor pod whats it like to fit and get in and out of thank you buddy
You should do à hang test to make it fit. Getting in and out is easy cheers
Morning mate glad to hear that somme say its a pig to fit and will not fit my motor and the base of pod near the seat rids up over top of seat instead of under it to keep wind out but uk airports say it be fine cant find anything on TH-cam only a German guy then I see you using one and looked good and unclipping it so I do what you say and thank you for you reply all the best to you and be safe
@@frosty2331 its more a comfort thing. It does not change much the performance and the aérodynamics. Wind still can get under and it is not fully closed. But once you start flying with it ,you wont fly anymore without. The instrument deck and storage is very handy on long flights
That's all I need it for I feel the cold even in summer I did hear it don't change anything and the flight deck is another bonus as I have had loads of hassle with flight decks that gin one looks perfect for me and big enough to mount my tablet and phone on like you say comfort is the key to a nice xc I let you know how I get on with it and will subscribe to your channel
Lol is that you groaning in background? Looks fast and heavy G's
Haha yes :) the G's build up fast !
It is tough to get a demo glider where I live. I've been reading and watching every review I can find....... I just viewed your video and called my local skycrack dealer to get one on the way. I can't wait to try it!
impressions if you compare it with your last wing?!
Same perf but faster and easier on bar
epic scenery in the clouds. cheers man
Where is this place?
Nice video 🤙
so which did you like more? tequila 5 or arak?
Arak for 100%. I see no reason to buy a t5 unless slow and dull is your thing. If xc progression or hike&fly is on your list go for the Arak. Some people like the t5 for learning acro.
@@IvoBELGIUM have you tried the Arak air? ill probably go for that one because of hike&fly.
@@pedromarcos1472 I once saw one rip in 2 while it was flying. the fabric feels like cigarette paper. i would not feel confortable under an Arak Air.
@@IvoBELGIUM wow, how did that happen? but here is plenty around, was that one already damaged or something?
@@pedromarcos1472 it was a brand new arak air, it was torned in the middle after a full frontal during siv.
I ran/jumped down rolling hills , down valleys, rocks, thorns and cactus everywhere, under a discarded early square canopy. Understood joy and pain, flight, lift aspect ratio, wind weather rain, desperation, hope and despair, cameraderie and selfish fools, deep lasting friendships too. 70's and 80's a drug like no other. I was young and daring, beautiful and stupid. In the later days, wild confidence turned some take offs into quasi base jumps. But what a time we had on those hills ! Years later did aff and after regular jumps from aircraft, But I miss those wild days more. I am now old but regret non of this.
Great carrier, i purchased recently the same chassis and moter. What's the top speed with the car when you have mounted it?
Le Dues Alpes?
Great toy! Cage and bars are look different than on original Miloslav’s videos, is there opinion what kind you get or this is the latest version, what is it made of?
Hi , this is the prototype version
👍
And your glider is made by ... ?
Niviuk 😉
@@IvoBELGIUM just like mine
Where did you fly?
Vosges in France
@@IvoBELGIUM And more precisely? (going there late August). Just ordered my Artik R :)
In the town fellering there is a place called the wagga. Paragliding shops school, camping and restaurant. It is also the main landingplace of this fly district. You have several take off's around for every wind direction. Enjoy
@@IvoBELGIUM Ah, yes :) THE place to fly in that area. Thanks!
Wow, grew up under the Rogallo wing.
👍👍👍
Nice man, leuk om te zien!
Congratulations on the low saves !
WOW!!!!!!!! with this glider you are the king of the sky. alias LO SPARVIERO enjoy
No one will ever be as cool as that bearded french dude repeatedly trying to send it on a 1970s skydiving wing.
Amazing!
Thanks a Million to all those heroic pioniers, without whom we wouldn't be able to enjoy this amazing sport today.
So much fun i learnt in 89,great times.still doing it everyone so serious now
WOW they drop like stones after takeoff! I am so grateful for all the advancements in designs and materials since then. I love my wing I couldn't even imagine flying one of those and I can't imagine where we'll be in another 45 years.
45 years later I'd like to say thank you to those crazy pioneers from the bottom of my heart for laying the foundation for a sport that nowadays is by far the very best that I can imagine and that I enjoy doing so much❤ I couldn't imagine doing that sport with the gliders they had in 1978 but without those people that still went for it our sport wouldn't be what it is today.
100% 👍🏼
