While on an outing with my parents i caught the Wolverine arriving in Pontiac from Chicago. Shortly after that a southbound CN train with SD75I 5795 in the lead left town to head south towards Detroit.

On the way home from Owosso my Dad & I went to Durand & caught this light power arriving from Flint before heading south on the Holly Sub. Shortly after that an eastbound mixed freight came through on its way towards Flint.

My understanding is the Superheater is the issue. How long before that can get fixed is anyone's guess.

I went there today with my grandpa and I got a CN shirt and a nickel plate road 765 steak locomotive and the nickel plate road heritage unit they are both on the same shirt and when I left I went to the east Lansing Amtrak station but I saw no trains there then I went to csx and I had good news I caught M303 right when I was going over the tracks I didn’t have my tripod setup and I had my radio scanner but it was dead so I went handheld but I I had a great time at the east Lansing train show!

#57’s horn is by far my favorite Diesel locomotive horn. I know it was in some iconic/popular movies. Anyone know the name for the horn by chance? You don’t here these too often anymore. Great video, never seen diesel routes through here before! Thanks for posting. Hats off for your Grandfather!
