I speak English, grew up in small town Colorado. Country boy. Recently took a 23andMe DNA test, found that my maternal DNA haplogroup is A2D1A, which apparently is a Native American gene that is found in the chichimecans. Does that mean I’m descendant of these people? The video states they came from the Jalisco area, which is also where the 23andMe has seen my DNA from.
I did the Ancestry DNA 🧬, and I knew I had Chichimeca Ancestry on my Dad’s side and Tarahumara on my Mother’s side. It showed that I am 53% Indigenous Native American. And it shows that I descend from the Chichimeca Tribes and the Tarahumara as well as some Apache and Comanche Ancestry.

I met my Aunt for the first time last year. I found out that our family has a lot of Chichimeca bloodlines.There isn't much of our culture left now :( It's a fascinating history and I am proud of my heritage... even if forgotten.
