Why Should You Care About Art? | Yonatan Daon
มุมมอง 132หลายเดือนก่อน
Modern art has become a circus of absurdity, with bananas taped to walls selling for millions, while art’s true purpose is lost in mysticism. But art is far more than a joke-it reflects human values and greatness. In this engaging talk, we’ll reveal how art has drifted into chaos and lost its meaning. To build a better future, we must de-mystify art and reclaim it as a celebration of beauty and...

How often do you enjoy art? Do you have to remind yourself to seek out art?
"If you could do anything in the whole world with 0% of failing, what would you do?" Shout out to Kelsy's mom for asking that question
Excellent presentation. Art is hugely important ... "the indispensable medium for the communication of a moral ideal." To treat just ANYTHING ... literally anything ... as ART, is to displace real art, and leave us without joy, beauty, inspiration, moral guidance, emotional fuel. Art ... real art ... MATTERS. Thanks for pointing the way, and keeping the flame alive.
Thanks Robert!
Amazing Yonatan!
"Banana and plums 😏"
Ahh, love the physics comparison.
Well done Yonatan 🎉
It’s always nice hearing someone who doesn’t paint try to explain painting 😂😂😂 what the hell
Rand's philosophy is fringe at best. The issue is it works great in a modern society where everything is built for you. Then you can of course consider taxation theft etc. In a total war situation it is useless as far as projects go it is hopeless. Effectively Rand's 'philosophy' is popular in USA among a fringe element of taxation is theft nuff nuffs.
Great work my brother Daon
I have no artistic ability so I love it!
Did she get there?
I had no idea objectivist existed until Oct 7 - been following them since
Yaron is a bit at a loss when it comes to explaining art. I would recommend CG Jung on the purpose of art.
God is deeply logical Yonatan. I’ve not read Atlas Shrugged yet but nothing beats the Bible. The World didn’t create itself. Hebrews 11:3 (KJV) Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. You also talk about “evil”. How do you know what is evil? If we are all just random monkey people products of Darwinian natural selection there’s no such thing. Let them holocaust you… It’s just survival of the fittest right? They have a philosophy too, what makes death inferior to life?
The world was never created. Creationism is an infinite regress. The universe is eternal, it never started and it can never end.
@@philosophyineedit That’s at best a goofy opinion. But undeniably it is a massive statement of faith. Moreover it is objectively wrong. The World is not eternal, it was created, and it will end. It is not an infinite regress. The attributes you falsely ascribe to the creation are rather correctly applied to the Creator. Isaiah 44:6 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God. Matthew 24:35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away. Romans 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. If the World were eternal, then why wouldn’t you be? You’re far more complex than anything in the World. And how can something less complex give birth to something more complex? Also you ignored my point about moral superiority. You have no claim to this. Why is your definition of evil superior to that of Hamas? You obviously believe in some form of righteousness but I don’t know where you derive this from. Is it from Atlas Shrugged?
NGL, I thought you were going to say, "Jesus"
Can Video Games be art?
It's an interesting question. I think there are definitely many artistic elements in many video games, but I wouldn't go as far as to call them art. But I'm open to hearing more about this. I have no definite answer.
❤❤❤❤ Well done
Fascinating conversation. Thanks! Looking forward to Nicolas’s OCON talk.
I look forward to Nicolas's OCON talk!
Impressed with this young man, I got to know him on TH-cam Chanel about self hating Jews hate Jews.I liked his comments and notes very brilliants young mind !! I have a very good stimulating question for you , I want to help you to get better understanding of your path.questions is, considering Darwinism, science of archaeology, and history of human evolution, the survival reasons for humans since the oldest civilization discovered yet, never could understand how sacrificing your life for an idea for example can be for any reason a pure Darwinian model, there is more examples like this, if you are interested read the book to Bigovich Islam between East and West, I am not introducing Islam to you at all by the way. That book is pure science and philosophy!!! I bet you will love reading it. Doesn’t talk about Quran or prophets, none of that .i wish you the best in your journey of discovery !!
Thank you!
Beautiful

yonatan, learn german she said 🙂 maybe hebrev is easier, or not?
It depends, if you are a native English speaker then German would be much easier for you to learn.
Awesome discussion Yonatan and Deborah. Incredibly insightful for a sub one hour discourse:)
Thank you!
Well done Yonatan

Great discussion.
Well done Yonatan!
Thanks Joram!
Is the painting "Wanderer above the Sea of Fog" by Caspar David Friedrich? I think I've seen that on the wall behind Stephen Hicks
Yes.
Art stops being Art when satanic false Jews think they’re artist via CONtemprary art
Everything is art.
Then the word "art" doesn't hold any meaning.
@@philosophyineedit rubbish
@@philosophyineedit No, because everything can be art, doesn't mean it's good art?
@@DrWrapperband But what does art mean when everything can be art? What do you mean when you utter the word art? What phenomenon are you describing in reality?
Who needs artists? We have cameras now.
Yaron’s thoughts are gold.
👍🏼👍🏼
Interviewer is superb! Excellent questions straight to the essence of art creation.
Very good interview. I like the topic. I don't think that targeting the values of a demographic, or pandering, is a bad thing. What are your thoughts on how the authenticity/profilicity of an artist affects the product of their creative work?
ruckas nuckas for life
Hi Yonatan, could you tell me what painting is serving as your background in this video?
Hey Kurt, the painting is called "Rye" (1878) by the great Russian Ivan Shishkin.
@@philosophyineedit Thank you! I'm looking into it
"So Luc, what is art?" Luc: "I'm kind of like the supreme court justices when they were asked about pornography: I kinda know it when I see it" XD
