AmagonRosh - Garage Kit
Welcome to my channel. I have built a passion for Model kit, Plastic kit, Garage kit for more than 10 years now. In this channel you will see me working on model kits: resin, plastic, etc...
Garage Kit - Builduig Belldandy from ah! My Goddess
Ah, "Ah! My Goddess!" has always held a special place in my heart as a beloved manga and anime. So, when I discovered that Gakabox had released a kit featuring Belldandy, I simply couldn't resist getting my hands on it!
Let me tell you, working on this kit wasn't a smooth ride. It had its fair share of bumps and even some crisis moments. But with determination and the help of my multiple personalities (yes, they do come in handy sometimes!), I managed to overcome all the challenges and create something truly special. I can't express how thrilled I am with the final results.
It's incredible how a hobby like this can bring both joy and a few moments of struggle. But in the end, the satisfaction of seeing the finished product makes it all worthwhile. Belldandy has come to life in my collection, and I couldn't be happier.
Have fun watching it.

How come it doesn't look shiny chrome?
I think it's supposed to be buffed to a shine when dry, it comes with a wad of cloth
What thinner-type do you use for each step of the gloss black -> Sapphire Blue one? Leveling thinner for the gloss-black, and then...?
Hii, what brand do you use to shine the eyes? I use tamiya gloss acrylic and the paint undernesth gets kinda messy
very helpful!
Almost perfect except for the eyes. I love your work!! Bravoooo 🎉😊
Wdym?? They look good :/
@@zetsuu2591 yes it looks very nice but one thing I didn't like is the eyes. It didn't get Belldandy's cute blue eyes. 🙂 But still the work is very good! And I am very impressed. I just the iris is more rounded like in the anime
Painting the eyes is still a challenge for me 😅! This is what I clearly need to improve
@@amagonrosh-gk but overall your work is very good 🙂
Looks cool. 🖌
Do you use thinner first to thin it out?
Handy as always
Thank you! Soon new videos hehehehe
yes, she has a derb face
Hiii how many psi do you use on your airbrush?
It is difficult to answer exactly as I use different psi depending what I am doing. Usually I will do 16/17 psi. This is the average and I have a 0.3mm needle. The psi really depends on a lot of things: size of needle, type of paint, also the way of painting. Thank you for your question, it makes me think I need to do a video about the psi and how it works 😜
Hello, I have a couple of questions for you: Please tell me how you can print a figure in a completely disassembled form (what does it depend on), I bought resin figures, they were disassembled, but not like in your video. I am new to this hobby and for me the more the figure is disassembled the better. Maybe you need to look for some special files for printing and use them to buy figures? And the second question, tell me, do you use some kind of special Vaseline, or will any one do?
Sorry I missed your comment. Actually most of the kits you buy online to print yourself are not well disassembled. The people who are doing it usually don’t know enough about it - sorry to say that but it is true - and it can be super tricky to paint them. There are several possibilities: either you ask the artist to review of it is disassembled and give him hints where to split the pieces, or you asked for the original file and do yourself - but I doubt you will have enough it - or you print as is and you do your best. You are right when you say the more pieces the better. It helps to not struggle masking and having better paint. But you will see, the more you practice the better you’ll be masking and managing 1 single blocks :)
@@amagonrosh-gk Thank you very much for your detailed story, I enjoyed reading what you wrote and drew conclusions. There is one more question left for you, please tell me what kind of varnish should be applied after painting? Thank you so much again
@user-du2nt1mi5r it really depends on what type of finish you want too… I mostly use Mr hobby super clear UV cut for both flat and gloss. It helps to protect the paint from UV and keep the colors for way longer than with normal varnish. Now flat is helping to remove any reflection of light and gives a better finish for my point of view - especially for skin, cloth, etc… Gloss will give a finish super shiny. You can use it more for latex cloth, metal, silk… As I said it really depends what is the results you want to give.
@@amagonrosh-gk Thank you very much for your great help, advice and recommendations. I found a varnish (I saw it in a spray can) please tell me, it is available in matte and glossy, which one is better to buy?
As I was saying in my previous comment it really depends on the effect you want to give. If you have to choose, at the beginning mat is the varnish you’ll need the most. So go with that one
Man I wish the paint can be repaint by you . Factory paint job and kit are a big headache 😔
I am really sorry to read this. Maybe we can discuss and see what I could do for you ;)
Really nice video! I have a question, is it common for you that when you are sanding putty, it starts to break down and falling apart?
Yes it happened at the beginning - still now but way less😅! It depends on a lot of things but mainly how you manipulate the pieces. I wanted to go way too fast before and I ended up being too rough. The quality of the resin is also a big factor. If it is too hard it will break even more easily. If you take your time, be gentle and don’t try to sand like a beast you should be able to not break any pieces, even if it is thin or fragile ones.
Iirc, Bome did two versions of this kit. The GK one had floating hair, the one with the hair down was a limited edition porcelain cast. The recasted version of the kit, which was popularised further by e2046's workshop, uses the porcelain cast. At one point they had a version that featured the floating hair as extra parts, but i think they removed them to make the assembly easier for beginners(the connection pegs were drastically different, they needed advanced prep work to be assembled properly).
Thank you for letting me know! I understand better why the kit I saw with the hair down is so expensive 😅
Looks like your white test was a bit yellow. Your paint might be old.
So actually I thought the same and I realized that all the hobby crystals have that type of light colors. For sapphire it is a clear yellow, for ruby it is blue, emerald it is red… I think they are using this to give an extra highlight of the main pigments
One bit of advice if I may, would be maybe a second coat or spraying a little more on the spoons. The white base (especially Cherry Red and Green Gold flip) was very light on the color, hard to get an accurate depiction. You can almost still see the white base through it. It will also drastically change the appearance of some of them, usually for the better.
Thank you for your recommendation, I’ll do it next time. I wanted to put not too much paint to keep the white present. Though if you say the color is not visible enough on the video, I’ll make sure I had way more layers 😊
What is the orange stuff you put on the putty?
Hahaaaaaa! The “orange stuff” is actually part of the putty and is the hardener that fix the white paste. The more orange you add the faster the putty will harden
@@amagonrosh-gk thanks (:
No issue! If it can helps
@@amagonrosh-gk one more thing, Is the brush you use to sand a normal electric one? Like for teeth?
@gabesiqueira8509 it is a tool dedicated for sanding. The brand is MrHobby. You can also find the sanding papers for this tool. You can have a look at the description of the video I have put all the reference :)
Oooo I look forward to seeing these!
You can already go to my playlist 1 minute 1 color. I have already done some of them
These finished projects always blow me away, amazing job!
Acrylic or lacquer?
It is a lacquer paint!
9:57 don't do it half assed. Do it full assed 😂😂😂😂😂😂
It is true no? I always say if you want to do it right go 100%. Good or bad is just a point of view haha
@amagonrosh-gk facts be factually correct lol you did a good job in it. Hopefully my belldandy comes out nice like yours
Thank you! it was really a pain and I can tell you I am extremely proud of this one. I have others belldandy and hope I’ll be as good as for this one
I appreciate you sharing the good and the bad, helps us new comers that practice and patience is key
I think this is what matters the most! Just showing the good will not show how it really is. Happy you liked
holy moly. your determination, sir, is commendable! such a gorgeous work
It became really personal after a while and it was even not conceivable to fail!!!!!
killer work from an underappreciated series!
It was one of my favorite anime when I was a kid. I had to admit I started to watch it again while doing the kit! It aged a bit but it brought me so much memories haha
you did such a great job on this! instant sub!
Super Sailor Moon was a real pleasure to work on! And it is the one I customize the most so far. And thank you for following me ❤️
Hello, nice video 43:29 Have you ever used loctite with corn starch to fill gaps?
Thank you!!! No I never used the 2 together. BUT I am using more and more loctite alone for very small holes to fill. It works perfectly ;)
@@amagonrosh-gk 39:10 why you glue two pieces of acrylic discs? one is not enough?
Yes one is not enough. The disks are too thin to correctly maintain the GK
WOW absolutely amazing! Wish there were still amazing Belldandy figures out there for us to buy. Good job!
If you really want to have you can ask the artist! We never know ;)
@@amagonrosh-gk are you selling the figure?
Contact me on Instagram to talk on DM! I didn’t necessarily planned to sale it but let’s talk and see ;)
Once I saw that box it came in I was like "Good lord man!" lol I was expecting something within in the 1/8th scale. I can only imagine the total hours put into that piece. If I can make a suggestion on the moss effect to help save you time, look into the diorama supply products with moss. Then depending on how you would imagine how much sunlight is hitting it, you can use just regular glue lay out the pattern and use diorama moss and shake on the glue area and just air blow away excess. Otherwise, another great video to see from you and can't wait to see the next video.
Thank you for the tip with the moss @sion1885! This is actually what I wanted to try for my next project ;) And yes it was couple hours of work on her hahahaha! It is so weird to go back to smaller kit after that…
stunning work!
Thank you raccooneyes2099! It was a challenging one and I really wondered if I could make something nice in the end. Reading your message makes me believe it is the case
@@amagonrosh-gk it was worth it. the end result is just gorgeous. i'm looking forward to your next projects =)
I Like how it comes out over the black base.
The main usage for those paints is definitively with a black base. After if you want to give a specific effect you can apply on other bases. For example, the SMS alien I use it over clear blue to give a more realistic water effect! For acid rain I didn’t find such an application yet though
Sorry, the bottle indicates the ratio mix for airbrush 1:2.5 , does it means 1 thinner : 2.5 paint or the contrary?
Hey Tu Mama, it can be misleading as in the bottle it is just written thin to 1:2.5. The correct translation should have been Paint to Thinner ratio - 1 dose of paint for 2.5 doses of thinner. It is quite liquid for my taste so I tend to use 1:2 instead. I provided more information about modo thinner and how to use in this video: th-cam.com/video/BsucNEq1T8A/w-d-xo.html. You can check out if you want to know more

Had not thought of using this colors over clear, thanks for the idea may have a project that it would work on
Alien is also really good to reproduce water effect. If you put a layer of clear blue on transparent resin and then put a layer of alien paint the result is really impressive!!!
That is a huge kit! It turned out great. The pearlescent stockings look great.
Yes it was quite big! And having big heavy pieces was tough. I actually love the stockings like that more than the idea I had at the beginning 😅
@@amagonrosh-gk Gaia Notes makes some nice clear colors. I've been building the resin Eggplane Girl figure kits by Hasegawa and recently I used some clear white for lacy lingerie and clear black for stockings. I like the effect.
I’ll try it next time then! Thanks for the tip!
I am so happy to see that I am not the only one who always breaks something on a kit 🤣🤣
When I start a kit I always bet on the piece I am going to break 😅😅😅
@@amagonrosh-gk I don't need to bet because I always know: It will always, always, always be a finger and, if the figure has very thin fragile glasses, those are gone as well 🤣🤣🤣
I usually break strands of hair and other thin pieces while cleaning the resin before I even start working on it.
Hair is definitively the main pieces I broke when I work on a kit 😅
Ouch!
I would be eternally grateful if you could tell me what song you were using at 4 minutes and 30 seconds in. Thanks.
The music is Marble Ink from Giants’ Nest. I am using the platform epidemic sound to take my music and make sure I don’t have license issues on TH-cam. Hope it helped ;)

Ahhhhhhh this is amazing!! Given the fact that the pieces were pretty much all one, it turned out amazing! And the attention to detail definitely paid off it definitely gives an older anime vibe. Great work! That background was intense to watch. Absolutely incredible work. Also I appreciate the longer videos. Your editing is improving ((:
I am happy you like the long videos. And for the editing yeah! I am looking more and more videos and reading about it. I learned a lot 😅! And please don’t hesitate to tell me what you don’t like or would like I improve.
Such an impressive kit and you did a great job painting it, the more realistic style really suits the sculpt : ) I love the texture of the jeans and the pantyhose in particular. The diorama you set up looks pretty sweet too!
Thank you! I learned a new word today! Pantyhose, I thought it was tight hahaha. I still need to improve my English.
@@amagonrosh-gk Tights is also good, pantyhose is more transparent and tights are more opaque but they both work! : )
Great job, I really enjoyed the assembling
Thank you! It was not an easy one haha
Amazing
Do I need more than one airbrush to get into this hobby? :o
You don’t have to start with an airbrush at all! Depending the size of the kit you can work with paint brush. It won’t be as good as with an airbrush but it is fine when you begin! If you want to start airbrushing go with a 0.5mm or a 0.3mm needle. You can find very affordable airbrush kit on Amazon - airbrush + mini compressor.
