Ruud is garbage when you replace a board they make you jump through hoops by using a app and going through a 100 step process. Every other brand you put in board do some light tweaking on the status and you're good. Ruud sucks

What is the basis for the 1 star review? What are the issues with the unit?

Do not buy a Deluth Forge fireplace! Poor quality and workmanship all around. Upon completion of assembly I noticed that there were numerous gaps and mis-aligned edges that didn’t fit together correctly. There are no relief cut outs in the rear of the unit for a floor hookup, therefore your fireplace won’t fit flush against the wall with a gas line protruding through the floor behind it. Now I have to try and figure out how to modify a brand new $1,200.00 fireplace with a major design flaw. I repeat, “Do Not Buy one!”

Absolutely a huge POS. Mine failed in 3 yrs. Run away from this product.

I really want this one bad in the color mustard yellow for my new apartment but i cant find it anywhere . It’s below zero where I live and a service guy is on the way to repair my 3 year old WeatherMaker for the second time. Last year the limit switch failed, who knows what it will be this year. Filled out the “contact us” form three times on the WeatherMaker website and… nothing.

With the S40, must you re-wire if your current setup is non-separated / none shielded wiring? I've been told you would not need to with this unit.

This is a rubbish brand. What a nightmare. If it breaks frequently, the repairman will say you didn't change the filter on time every time. If you don’t spend money on maintenance, you won’t even get a warranty. Don't buy it

Hi, we have installed approx 50 of the 70 2stg units and they have been bullet proof and with a 10year parts warranty they are standing behind the product. These units are identical to another furnace manufacturer. And parts are carried by several wholesalers I don't know what area you are in, but the ge units are comparably priced with other brands sold in our area. Appreciate the review but I think it is kinda uncalled for. What are your thoughts on air to air heatpumps ?

How the heck do I take off the glass fireplace frame

Great simple boilers, the one in my house is 35 years old. Made tough for Canadian Climates. Being legislated out of production because not considered high efficient but are extremely reliable.

I just bought one and am gonna install it myself, im a veteran HVAC technician, back when I was installing these mini splits there easy but to me it was almost better to replace the mini air handler inside than to tear it apart inside to fix it , but im hoping there manufactured better by now, im hoping for the best on this one, and yes i know the warranty will void with me installing it without me being with a hvac company anymore but i got my guages and vacuum pump and jug of R410A with me

I think it’s a piece of junk! I have 5 wire to the old T-stat so no reason to use their common adapter. Unit come on a scroll but you can not make the T stat do anything but scroll.. I have hooked up Hundreds of Stats. Program. An Wi-Fi and never had a problem with any of them but this is a piece of junk

Most furnaces that warranty the heat exchangers don't tell you about the hidden cost! Which is the installation of the heat exchangers cost you in hours and money. almost as much as getting a whole new one! You're better off sticking with the 80% non condensing gas furnaces hey don't worry about no damn warranty because it ain't worth it!

They have been building quality woodstoves since 1972, the dealer network is growing here in the U.S., the warranty is pretty standard, 20 years. One big advantage, and there are several, is that the Ultimizer series is rebuildable if there ever is a catastrophic failure. The average "handy" person can replace the most common "wearable" part which is the water jacket and top half of the firebox. For about 1/4 the cost of a new woodstove you can replace this part and your back up and going again. Check them out, loads of positive customer reviews here on TH-cam. I am on my second season with mine and I am thoroughly pleased.

I have an s30 I want to upgrade to the S40 can I dismantle the Smart hub and just connect the corresponding wires out of it together back up to the thermostat?

I don't know if they changed anything since 2017, but it looks identical to my eyes. I hate this stove. Doesn't hold a candle to a Buckstove. A stove usually burns better when you get it burning and coaling up...not this one.

Mine is all the time freezing up

I have this model been using it for 10+ years. Only issue I've had is the auger motor mount screws getting loose. Just add locktite and snug them back up.

Please more details why its bad

Just so everyone is aware. I own two of these. 1. They require electricity to run 2. They spin constantly yet generate very little electricity 3 power companies buy at the lows and sell at the highs = you never come out ahead In my humble opinion/experience these would be something I would stay far away from. Might be brand specific however anyone trying to sell you this product I would be highly skeptical if then have your best interest at heart.

What brand electric fireplace do you recommend?

trouble from the start cant find cool or humidity settings so i cant turn on the air conditioner or the humidifier! so far a huge pain in the ass to setup.

I haven’t heard why it’s bad besides made in China and not a good guarantee. Honestly, all i want is a simple programmable thermostat, and one that is “not” wifi enabled. I prefer the control without any of projected and not needed bells and whistles. I’m glad it’s non-wifi (as a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, I don’t recommend the added wifi). I would like to know if there is more than 4 programmable hour presets?

How to silence the alarm on this pellet stove

I have this small black one. The problem is you can't open it up to clean the fan blades. I can't even use it because the inside is so dirty and I can figure out how to open it up. I don't want to break it. Do you know how to get to the fan inside to clean it?

Would not recommend the Champion Brand to anyone for any reason.....Our HL20 heat pump was installed two years ago and it has been nothing but one problem and service call after another.....Our $13,000 complete system is now at about $22,000 and climbing because of now defunct installer and money hungry company that took over the customer base for the now defunct company.....If you are considering a new HVAC system and anyone mentions Champion, which is now owned by Johnson Controls, do not walk but run the other way!!!!! If this site can give the Champion Product a five star "Top Pick" rating it is because the service company's love the profits that they make from service calls!!!!!

I have the OX-14KH and have used it for two years as A/C only and it has worked great. Just last night, I tried the Heat for the first time. Unit "CLICKS" when turned on but... NO HEAT! Left it on for about 10 minutes in heat mode and it only blew out cool air. Is this a defect OR am I doing something wrong?
