Thanks for your having taken the time to view the video. I have to admit I don't understand the question. The video was made about two months ago. The worm harness was made about a year ago after experiencing that gold and red colors were the color of the day on Lake Erie.

@@MrLilWaver6229 One particular trip to Erie we probably had 5 or 6 nice fish get away near the boat and we would get the harness back with only the front hook there. The line between was obviously frayed. I finally figured out what was happening . Since then, I only use them for the back hook, if at all. I also don’t use “quick change” clevises, because the spinners get caught in the net and go flying off into the water.

On a double hook rig I also use Octopus hooks. When using bait hooks it is only a single hook rig.

Hello David. Thanks to viewing of our video. They are cheap to make but by the time you buy the various beads and everything you've got a few bucks invested. As mentioned in video pt 2 I give my harnesses a specific job which means not just throwing some beads and blades together to say I now have a worm harness. Hope this makes sense. If you go to fishing.witkosupplies.com you'll see some of the things I've made. The Erie Gold was made specifically for fishing on Lake Erie and the Walleye wanted gold and red. I was ready the next time with that harness. If you do a lot of trolling with harnesses then it would be worth the investment. Good luck fishing this year.

Hello Brandon, thanks for taking the time to check out our video. Greatly appreciated. In response to your question... most of my fishing is at Lake Arthur in Butler County, PA. I first got into pulling harnesses on Lake Erie in July. On Arthur I would start pulling them after lake temperatures reach 70 degrees.

@@MrLilWaver6229 Well small world, most of my fishing is on Mosquito and Pymatuning. I was mainly asking the question because I am contemplating starting to pull harnesses this weekend because the walleye have been real finicky this year. Just wasn't sure if it was too early to try.

@@brandonoaks5354 Go for it. I like Pymatuning, it is very different from Arthur. More conducive to pulling harnesses. Everything depends on water temperatures and whether the walleye will chase a harness. Good luck.

On Lake Erie (we pull harnesses all year). But I will change to sticks in deep water in July. It’s a personal choice.

@@tomsieczkarek3828 Always look forward to pulling harnesses on Erie in July. I usually go out on the head boats. Have to admit "sticks" doesn't ring a bell right now. will have to check it out.

That was the reason for my channel and videos. When you get a chance check out these links. www.fisherie.com/Fishing-Reports - a lot of info about fishing Presque Isle Bay and tributaries; www.pasteelhead.com - home page left navigation bar - click on NORTHWEST PENNSYLVANIA STEELHEAD MAP - this info is awesome for someone new to the area...the tributaries available to fish, where you have access to the creeks along with places to park; web-cams available - unclejohnselkcreekcamp.com/webcams - www.fishusa.com/avonia-webcam There is creek depth data available for Walnut and Elk Creek. Go to USGS government site: maps.waterdata.usgs.gov/mapper/index.html. Locate those creeks on the site. Really good information. Anybody traveling any distance, like me, to fish the creeks will check out this site. One other thing to keep in mind. When it does rain how long does it take for a fishable situation at the various creeks? Example: Walnut is approx 20 miles long while Elk is 34. Both of them take about 3 to 4 days of no rain to become fishable. 12 Mile, 16 Mile and 20 Mile take about a day as they are very short. I can give you more information on this if you want. The head of Walnut is at Millcreek Mall which has lots of concrete/asphault which drains into Walnut. Elk is of a more rural nature with rain soaking into the ground. My reasoning to why Walnut blows out before Elk. This will keep you busy for awhile... I hope it answers your question and helps with your quest...GOOD LUCK! Take care!
