Just always loved this series , 30 years later . Good on ya
I remember when on a training ex he had to convince a digger to remove leaches from his man hood and his family jewels. We would not help as we could not stop laughing!!!

"For a one night stand it was pretty good. It did the job." If I hadn't been watching the video...
I wonder who the first poor bastard to try an eat gympie gympie was?
The man will eat anything... weird. You couldn't really survive on that stuff, but he probably could.
I dare say the area around the gully or gullies was already burnt out, and kept under control.
that roaring meg can be snowy 3.0
Did you ever meet Malcolm Douglas? Another one responsible for documenting the past. We in South Africa have virtually no footage of our bushmen People. Very sad
I think more of a concern than finding food and water, would be surviving the crocodiles, located in the isolated northern areas of Australia. You could end up being the bush tucker for the crocodiles. Don’t underestimate them. They can hold there breath under water for up to an hour.
0:20 I remember there was a complaint made to BackChat over Les flatulating after finishing his fish. I’m still trying to find where this happened. Maybe here.
6:56 the bloke’s so natural
So beautiful
The smartest bloke on TV. Hands down.
Sir Lez of The Outback.
If you ever look at comments...Thanks for what you've done and shown us. Your the epitome of the Aussie man. Why is it all the good Aussies are slowly going off the radar...probably age is a major factor, but again thanks to you and all the film crew that made these incredible films available to us. 👍🏻😁🇦🇺
Because the government laws and regulations and the schooling system. To busy letting boys dress up as girls and changing pro nos . The world has changed since the 60s and getting worse sad to say. Les hiddins is still doing trips . But not for tv . Still lives in Townsville east.👍
Jeeeee, Id love the see an original 4k scan of these film reels
This has to be my all time favourite episode of the Bush Tucker Man . Remember it so well . I remember watching it as a young teen back in the 80's on Cable TV . Laying on my belly on the Living Room floor , staring at a Ferguson TX quadraphonic TV with supersound . All the scenes in this episode are so familiar even now in 2020 . Bush Tucker Man was the best . Always loved the music too =^-^=
Polynesian Arrow Root. See... the Polynesian Bruthaz Boyz bushtucker grows in the Territory too. Blackfulla mini Taro. SNAP. Reminds me of my old school RAB soldiers Samoan Tom and Fijian Jo. Fuck those was the DAYZ. Miss my Bullaz' BLM@#
Wow I use to love watching this show. Wish I had of went when the borders were open more. Might need to call my Bradshaw Primary buddies Ian McAdam(black mayor Alice Springs) and Kevin Tilmouth, Central Desert Lore Man
Guess you would need a lot of survival skills trusting your life with a Landrover Those in the know use Toyota LandCruiser troop carriers the ONLY way to go bush...
Mivk me heroin addict
The smallest Chillis are always the most lethal just like Scorpions are!😒🤠🌶️😲🤯🇦🇺
Yes like the white ghost and the Carolin reaper. I've got growing. They certainly got a bang about them alright
Watching from Auckland....NZ,
NZ is a beautiful country
Watching from cold wet Auckland.
Thats not a gun. Its a hand cannon put a big hole in a croc with that
Faaark, look how cheap the fuel is.
Diesel was about half the price of petrol in the 80's.
67 Cents they where the days
At 2:38 he says tea tree is the common name for a paperbark tree, no that’s not correct. Paperbark is the common name is the common name for a melaleuca but a tea tree is a leptospermum petersonii Totally different tree. Other uses for the paperbark is the bark can be used as bedding or a bandage as it contains a natural antiseptic. Also the tree itself can be tapped for clean drinkable water plus the wood once dry is great for fires.
Is the water in the middle of the tree?
Now FAKE NEWS
Spat the chilli out 😂😂😂
if one behaves like him , the country would be stuffed in no time , considering our population now, yet again we have 40year olds still playing computer games
What a load of shit , what did he do

I'm a fan.
Super videos. Notice one thing. He does not get into all the crawling or slithering nasties that could kill you. He just focuses on the food you can find.
The good old days when ABC was worth watching!!

Ha ha. Was just thinking the same thing
Jason Clark Most definitely
I loved and still love watching the Bush Tucker man. Pity they didn't continue after the 3rd season. Please bring Les back! There are lots of us waiting for the next chapter.
nice upload, 8:38 a noob would hang the candle nuts on the roof of their tent & it wld burn down during the night :/
8:10 bet you wldn't get 1 bar of mobile reception out there
nb vid, bet there wasn't any mobile reception out there when that was made
Interesting, I found here the best tv program of my childhood, nothing compared to the English programs in Africa, here, deal with education and respect! Thanks to this Man, my interest in Australia was born, maybe one day I'm going to Australia ... maybe ...
Love this! Of course, that was a fair bit of meat & effort to catch one yabby. Probably could've just chucked that bit of bait meat in the stew & got a bit of protein too...not as good TV though :)
