A beautiful Caravan!! Great job!
Now once you are finished I want it! Love your work!
You have done a great job and a lot of work! Love the looks of the Caravan!
Where did you get I believe you said vivid white glass paint?
Hey There! Do you mind if I copy your idea and create a “Paw Patrol” version? Single mum with baby boy - want to restore an old 1964 Millard Caravan and travel with him ☺️
For little brushes you don't need expensive ones. Go and buy a kids painting set of brushes. The sets contain all different sizes and are great for the kind of small jobs you have here. I've renovated a lot and always have a set of them, They are cheap and can just be washed out for the next time you need them or thrown if it is oil-based paint and they can't be cleaned. I am very impressed with your detail and interior choices, well done.
S glad you decided to fill up the dents.
It's good that you used gloss as that is easy to clean.I think your work is of a very high standard. I am not a builder or carpenter but have renovated a couple of houses on my own and had to learn a lot, especially being a woman, and I can see you take good care to make sure everything looks good e.g. the trimming above the bed area. I love that T&G effect boarding you got from Bunnings. I am watching every video I can on caravan reno as plan to do this soon.
It looks so good!
This is seriously so much work !! Wish I had the knowledge to do all of this on my own
You have great taste with your caravan renos - you should study Interior Design! 🙂
What spray gun did you buy mate? Name of brand?
Another binge watcher here and I have LOVED this adventure you took me on thank you. You did a beautiful job honey good job xoxo Texas
I left k mart saying that everything is a vibe 😂🎉 craving a skim latte omg ❤ bro your hysterical 😋
doing up a 72 viscount has been big ride - question to ask if you can help mate the handbrake cable any trick to install i had it looped around the little lever on wheel hub not sure where to go from there??
Fantastic job.
I’ve watched from the first video and I’m going to keep watching the rest, you’ve done a great job 🎉 we have a caravan that needs a renovation also.
I really liked it, we have a caravan that needs renovating 🎉
Lattes and black to white ratios hahahahahaha 🤣🤣🤣
Hey mate just wanted to say Ive quite enjoyed the series so far and that you've done an awesome job with it, my name is also Leigh and Ive recently purchased an old caravan.. Been working on it for the past few days then stumbled upon your caravan resto whilst looking for ideas and inspiration, I was like oi oi this guys got the same name as me definitely gotta watch this.. Then after watching all of the videos I have come to realize you and I are quite similar in personality as well, maybe guys named Leigh are just good cunts haha who knows? 😂 I also like what you said about the consumerism society we live in and how things are just not build the same way anymore, we obviously have new technology they didn't have back then but its not assembled with love or even strong material anymore because its made to be thrown away or break after 5 years like a tv.. So yeah mate give yourself a solid pat on the back for us because good job, you have a golden worldview deserving of admiration, well done mate.. 👏
Amazing video dude
Gunna do this same repair. Hopefully not to as much extent as this! How 'bout a HJ nose panel repair too?
Wow! Thanks very much for your time, energy and explanations. Fabulous to watch all the process. ❤❤❤
I just bought an old Chesney 17ft for $400 and if it turns out to be completely fucked like yours im just taking it to the tip
Amazing work, love the dry humour and you work ethic… I have watched all your videos with a keen interest. If you could help with one thing, I would love to know of you could share the process you used to square up the hitch plate? I have a few processes in mind but I seem to become lost after I start. Thanks again for your content.
Awesome work, looking forward to watching through the series. I’ve started doing a ‘75 Ambassador. Love the shorty patrol too!
These videos are great as I’m currently doing a full resto of a ‘75 Viscount ambassador. Awesome work.
I’m impressed with your work ethic son…..iv just done an arrow up myself. Pulled the floor out, rebuilt the entire frame, draw bar and suspension….stripped the paint back to the aluminium….refurbished all the windows….rebuilt the interior…..guess we are both dudes who love a bit of self punishment ! Why else would we do it. Nice work cobba !
Would it have been easier to cut the floor out and rebuild the chasis? Is the body mounted to the chasis bolted or welded? Just some questions as im looking for an old doer, probably something single man, 1950s ish
The floor is riveted to the chassis and the Z rails are bolted to the frame, the front and rear of the frame is bolted through the cross members before the inside is lined with timber sheet It would be heaps easier to remove the chassis and rebuild another side by side, I didn't have the provisions to lift the frame off the chassis at the time though
Omg I wish you did a the series on this one. Very nice
I'm also another binge watcher, kept me entertained while i drafted for work. I also have a Viscount which i would like to restore, I wont be able to do it to this level though haha. Appreciate your videos I couldn't find anything near to the detail. Multi talented. Thank you, such a legend.
Lv it 💝🌸
Do you sell your vans? Think your amazing thank you 🙏
How did you sand the roof seems really hard to cover the whole area
this got me so excited for my viscount reno. i start on sunday.mines an empty shell but made lots of notes from your video. im also in WA! :)
WELL DONE
Good content & editing man, I'll be starting restoration of my 1981 really soon so been watching a lot of video's lately to get an idea of what I'm dealing with & with your explanation being great too puts your video's in the top 5 I'd recommend for people to watch for help, thank you 😊
What paint did you use for the out's side enamel water based?
Binge watched all 12 today, better than Netflix mate, good onya. Your weather sucks. Painting outside is a hassle even here in Qld. but with the bugs and heat and humidity. I feel ya.
❤Thanks for the ideas, I have my bargain caravan base 😀 from$700 reduced to $300 & Now to put my ideas into fruition 😊
I’d like to think, “Yeh, I could do that and fabricate the brackets etc”. The reality is I couldn’t even plan how to do it 🙄. Thanks for this series I have thoroughly enjoyed it and learnt heaps.
Where in Australia are you from?
You inspire me! Thanks for the insights and can I say I love your work.
Nice job!
Where the cabinets were good I would not have painted. I would have kept the cabinet. The twin bed's have to see what you did to beds. I like the twins!
If your in Perth I could use a hand with my caravan as I have no idea how to restore the trailer
This was actually interesting, layback and entertaining enough to stay. I also call, you out as a Chippy as your timber work is very niice 🎉. Keep it up champ !! I’m also doing a tandem trailer roof top tent low cost build. So a Big thank you bloke🇦🇺👍🏽
I will be very interesting to see registration . Re.Branko
I have to do this to my one soon i actually have a hole tho
hi to your now famous mum . hehehehe
