Dynare is a software platform for handling a wide class of economic models, in particular dynamic stochastic general equilibrium (DSGE) and overlapping generations (OLG) models.
Debugging parameter initializations and steady_state_model-blocks

Why do not write rho in the parameters line? If not important then why wrote in equations?

"ERROR: neoclassic1.mod: line 21, col 8: syntax error, unexpected ';', expecting EQUAL Error using dynare (line 282) Dynare: preprocessing failed . " This is the end part of the code. line 21 is "initval;". Thank you. steady;steady_state_model; k = ((1-beta*(1-delta))/(beta*alpha*A)) ^(1/(alpha-1)); c = A*k^(alpha) - delta*k; initval; A = 1.0 ; end; steady;

Hello. Thanks for your nice and clear presentation. I have two questions: 1) In the slide 3/8, at 6 min 23 sec of the video, why the steady state term (f(ybar, ybar, ybar, 0) disappears after the factorization step ? 2) In the slide 8/8, at 13 min 03 sec of the video, why E{y_t}=0 ? Does it mean that E{g_y*y^}=0 ?
