      Hello, No they didn't make it right. If I had a do over, I would have went with the LT50. However, I would advise to stay away from any units built during the 2020- 2023 covid years by any of the saw manufactures. Leave comments if you have any other questions, I'll help in any way I can. Thanks for watching!

    Seeing what you do for a living, and the Equiptment you have to keep running, I am taking another look at the Cooks Sawmill, and see if the extra money for the Timber King is worth it. Although the cooks looks like a stout sawmill. That tic-tac-shit is easy to fix, and I would definitely order it with different hose couplings. Thanks for being so honest. What part of Kentucky are you from,I bought close to 300 acres near Cumberland Gap.

    • @LumberLineFarmingCountry
      @LumberLineFarmingCountry 7 วันที่ผ่านมา

      The Cooks is a sturdy machine but not a high production. One thing I've noticed during my many hours of research on the Timber King is you have to off bear the lumber from the side, which may not be a bid deal for some. Caution: Would not recommend buying any of the mills that was produced during the covid years in 2020 - 2023. Best of luck on your future mill. We live in central KY but have family over in the south eastern part of state. It's beautiful there! Thank you for watching!

    HD3238. I had to just my guide wheels "more down pressure" to get it 1 inch off the deck. Locktite the adjusting bolts. They like to loosen up. I also made the same modification on the draw back arms. Look down the blade when it's running, if the blade looks 1/16 thick it's out of adjustment. It should look as thin as a pencil line.

    I picked up a new HD3238 from them in mid June 2024. Set up is very similar, but i don't have the computer. You mentioned thickness of your last board being greater than 1 inch. Mine is one inch, but that requires down pressure of 1" on the drive side roller guide and 1/2" down pressure on the idle side (factory settings)... the drive side band wheel is 1/2" higher than the idle side. The Cooks manual says 1/4" down pressure.

    • @LumberLineFarmingCountry

      I've been talking to Robert at Cooks about it. He said removing the shims would not create a problem... just requires new setup of roller guides. Removing them would reduce down pressure on both sides by 1/4". If I don't start breaking blades prematurely with the current down pressure settings, I may leave them.

    • @LumberLineFarmingCountry
