went with the Tr-1 and love it. Did all the handling mods to get it as close I can to my 701 but it’s so much fun. The wider tray made it lot better. I can really push the front down to get it to bite. I like getting very low in the 180° turns

For a rec rider, with the Riva engine upgrades and OVP steering this thing is a rocket ship and very stable compared to all previous 2 strokes. Can’t really compare it to Kawasaki 4 stroke due to huge power difference and weight. Fun just cruising around and playing with it.

I would take a SXR 1500 over the Super jet any day. The Yamaha is not a good play boat and it is not a good racer. The Big Kawi is a decent buoy racer with a few minor mods.

This brings back memories. I'm 59 now but I raced back in the 80s. I miss those days..

Who the F builds a prototype by hand in the middle of nowhere! That is so mfn boss dude. I build prototype tools and fixtures and lift devices in a very spoiled environment and I still complain about tools I don't have lol.

Usually people are riding around while giving tips and I can't understand what they say because I am half deaf. This was an excellent video IMO, ty for the tips. Im on a dinosaur though, not a GP1 lol.

OMG!! I’m 53 year old! Rode stand ups since 88! 650 750 full on race prepped! Total lose ignition systems, dual carbs, racing exhaust, magnum pumps,high compression heads! 54 mph max! Could imagine 70+mph! Old school IJSBA! Jeff Jacobs Christie Carlson Victor Sheldon! if we only had a machine like this!!
