To the guy who was SA'd. Therapy is expensive. I found a place in my city that was free therapy. It was a group called PARENTS UNITED. It's primarily a group therapy situation for adult child molestors and families of children who are molested and for AMACs (adults molested as children). It begins with mixed counseling. With all of these above groups in a room together. There you tell your story. It's both terrifying and freeing at the same time. Then the Dr. in charge assigns you to a group of ppl with a simalar trauma. I was in a position like you, I tried to tell my parents and it got me no where, I was told to stay away from my Grampa! I never told anyone else until I was married, and shared with my husband. Who in turn shared his own history of being SA'd. There is help out there, now days there is probably something similar on-line. Bro, Im so very sorry about your wives reaction and that of your friends. I know this reddit thread is probably fiction but I also know that for others reading it maybe triggering for readers who have faced the same. And taking care of others whom have been molested is important bc it reaffirms our own healing. I wish the very best outcome. from all of this, bc it is possible!
