Yarn (Weight 6) : ~250-450 yds; I used Bernat Blanket Yarn: Small: 333g/1.1 balls/244 yds of dark teal,
Large: 600g/2 balls/440 yds of vintage white
Hook: 8mm/L-11 or hook needed to obtain gauge; I crochet with tight tension
Pillow insert:

It might be a tension issue but also as somebody that works with almost exclusively acrylic yarn it might just need a wash and block.

Yes tension issue/different hook size. But also the last one I think could flatten out with more time and more length. Looks lovely!!! Hang in there 💪

@@KnotFastFashion I made a blanket in the round when I was first learning how to crochet. blocking saved me from an unholy amount of frogging and redoing. I tested it when it was about the size of your project now to make sure it would work before I continued on with it and it did.

Important Note: What I use in the video is actually a modified BPDC. This is used throughout the video tutorial. You can do regular BPDC (you will get more stitch definition), but note that the fabric may be stiffer and it may affect your gauge.
