Not an addict but took valium for a very good medical reason. When I didn't need it anymore I had to taper for over two years from 10mg and it was brutal. I was bed ridden for two years. benzo withdrawal is considered worse than heroin withdrawal and believe me the withdrawals can ruin a life, just as bad as the addiction. If you need to come off and have been taking them regularly, never ever stop them cold turkey because it can kill you. Not many people were lucky enough to have a medical professional that let me taper over two years and were taken off of them too fast. Many commit suicied because the withdrawals are so bad and will last for years. I was never addicted but my body sure became dependent. It happens after 4 weeks of continual use. Almost every person becomes dependent on them after the 4 weeks, Whether you are an addict or just dependent on them, the withdrawals are the same. I was able to do it, but I have some problems even 7 years later. Be safe people and don't mess with these drugs.

The amount of deaths is alot more, street valium deaths show up on as inconclusive in post mortems even although they know for a fact its been drugs thats killed them

I'm quite seriously disabled. I have several degenerate conditions that can put me in need of an ambulance in a blink. If I'm in city and I need help, the person I look for is the guy sitting on the shop doors behind me.. There's always one there. They'll cheerfully rush forward, leaving all their belongings and help me on the steps,carry my frame, reassure my daughter and then fuss and cluck around like a mother hen wondering if there's anything else they can do to help. If I ask you young,strong , straight men they put their heads down and push past me. And women?? Forget it. If you want to know how to clear the isle of a shop? Be a disabled person and drop something onto the floor!! Fire alarms don't clear people that fast! It'll be a little old lady who helps me then. I've been off booze 14yrs I totally agree it can be helped by speaking about your problem I eventually went into rehab then straight to long term support saved my life but we have to remember it's a half way thing we help u if u help yourself if u can get that accept that u have an issue or problem then it's a start to recovery don't be in denial you'll get bowhere

Blues and alcohol are by far the worst drugs.

It's the same in Sweden, except the "blue" ones are ksalol, serbian alprazolam. They're flooding the streets. Extremely cheap as well. And of course they don't always contain only alprazolam.

The main reason this will never stop is because the doctors wont stop dishing out poison to 'help them' the pharmaceutical industry are the biggest drug dealers in the world and the worst about it is= its all totally fucking legal. Never judge anyone until you know the story.

The most idiotic decision every made too suddenly change track on diazapan, people had been put on it 20 or 30 years ago by NHS, then as a knee jerk reaction to the opiode crisis in USA many UK doctors decided to stop it over night, I was terribly ill total hallucinations and massive weight loss and no sleep for 11 days, I ended up in hospital, the physiatrist was amazed they had just stopped my medication after so many years but as he said he is constantly seeing people taken off diazapan with little or no taper off time, he told me to go straight to my doctor and insist this was done over a prolonged period otherwise I may suffer severe problems from strokes to even death, I went to my doctor who said they don't do that in their surgery and refused, I have read the guidelines by the national institute clinical excellence and they fully explain that while new to people for diazapan should only be on it for a few weeks, people who have been prescribed it for decades should have a very slow withdrawal as it will have actually changed the chemical make up in the brain, so rather than suffer these horrendous withdrawal symptoms I have had to get from elsewhere and try to cut down myself, what an absolute mess by the NHS, they prescribed the tablets then left people to suffer rather than use a rational slow withdrawal process, it truly is criminal lack of care and basic knowledge and treatment, and don't forget these tablets cost pennies it's just a crusade by the ill informed doctors who cannot be arsed to actually read the advice given to them

22 years clean was addicted to smack and crack 18 year's as an addict , you got to want to do it man, I've got friends who've died from addiction over dossing and shit 👍🇬🇧
