Bits of my 30s-our home, food, and becoming a mom.
Moving back in with my parents at 32 and a renovation update (and some more moving)
We're back, with a renovations update, and a lot more moving. Note to self, never start renovations without a home to stay in with a toddler and a dog ever again.

I'm Hanna and I'm based in Toronto, Canada. I'm excited to start sharing a bit more about how I spend my time (cooking, eating, cleaning, and all the other things one does throughout the week) with my partner, Johnny (we've been married for a few years now), our dog, Billy (she's a German Shepherd x Border Collie and is as a handful), and our toddler Jordan. Thank you for spending the time to watch us do life, and hope you enjoy!

In this episode, we're adding stress to our lives, again, and moving, again, back into our house, again, but this time, with my parents, so we can renovate their home. We're renovating their kitchen, powder room, 3 full baths, and some other little things here and there. Exactly what my parents need after having very little work done to it over the last 20 years. And we're doing all that, with ...

BEEN WAITING FOR THIS
Honestly, if a dishwasher is clean enough to sanitize baby bottles (on the sanitize setting of course), then it's fine for cabbage.
Great idea 👍 😂
Thats's such a cool idea.....I've never made kimchi but when I do then I will definitely try this idea
Haha yes, with a batch this big, no other way works better!
Never realized it was a different recipe - I just thought it was a portion of the kimchi that got refrigerated promptly and eaten before fermentation got rolling. Now that you explain it, it makes sense. Looks so good. Love me some kimchi.
love seeing the behind the scenes of the reno - literally my fave content haha and of course you!! XX
It literally took years off my life.
@ I can blame 50% of my greys to our renos and the other 50% to being an entrepreneur 🫠 in this together!
Yummy
I am confused as just watched video where they used cabbage for kimchi and this one is using root crop. Can it be made with both or what?
There are different types of kimchi that use different ingredients. So you can use either or even another vegetable like perilla leaf.
Traditionally it's mostly made with cabbage but kimchi is like spicy pickling? Like how pickling is usually pickles, but can be peppers, jalapenos, etc
it looks so good!
Thank you!!
I love your food❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Tysm!!!
It looks delicious and is worth the effort to make it.
There is literally NO DIFFERENCE except your lazy ass.
this product is so good for my skin but i hate the packaging too, i need to do this!
Wish I could order kimchi right from Korea. Can not hardly find it in America and the ingredients are hard to find if you can find it where I live. Any suggestions where I can buy kimchi in America
So are you saying that kimchi is just a big vegetable sandwich
Why was that cabbage inside the dishwasher can somebody please explain that to me did they use that to blanch it.
Haha it was used as a drying rack to strain the cabbage!
Thank you for sharing the process. Stay blessed,
Thank you for appreciating!
김치 맛있겠다 너 천재야
ㅎㅎ thank you!
One of the best in Korean cuisine i cannot live without....
Yess!
I don't even know what kimchi is and I was like :Q___
Its a korean staple!!
They look spicy and delicious
this batch was extra spicy!
The plant?
@@ronnyrichter2406 they are vegetables
Niceeeeeeeeeee
My mouth is watering😋
did you use the dishwasher as a giant drying rack?
yes-the most important appliance for kimchi making tbh
@@haehanna that’s so smart, the kimchi looks so yummy
I won't lie I thought they rinsed them in there. This makes way more sense 😅
She wasted the chicken broth 😢
Oh! In a lot of Korean cooking the first boil is just for cleaning the meat! Usually the waters super frothy and brown/greyish! Even when we make stocks, first boil goes down the drain!
Thank you
i love the rice cooker drawer!
Yes! It was a kitchen reno must-have for us haha
Every food you make always looks so delicious !!
Omg thank you!!
You are so pretty !!
You are sooo sweet!
YUMMYYY 😋 it looks so delicious!!

Классная подача, продолжайте том же духе

Thank you!
This is so underrated
Its sooo good
u are so pretty
Wow tysm!!!!!
THES SO GOOD I KNOW
SO GOOD
😋
💗💗
Is it good for weight loss?
i imagine if you add quinoa or some brown/black rice along with a bit of rice it could be good for that! it's definitely not unhealthy, but unsure about calories and nutrition value for actual loss!
That looks so good except I would make mine without an egg. For some weird reason, I can only eat eggs in the morning, not lunch, snack, or dinner because I immediately get sick and have to throw up
Oh nooooooo. Its still good without the egg 💗
Looks very healthy, but also legitimately fast
Exaaaactly heh.
I was wondering how do you see I have hooded eye lids like yours. And I always slightly felt it messs with my vision just a bit unless I lift it but it seem a my face is use to it but I want to increase my vision bc I sometimes get blurry
Mmm looks amazing!
Thank you!
Is that spinach?
It is! I cut it up so its easier to mix/eat
Can you eat it raw in korea? Because in India we will be blanching it or boil it
@ yes you can, im in canada tho. I also like blanching it too for this dish!
👍
😊
That looks so good i gonna try it thanks
Yes let me know what you think!!
