Random musings about my motorcycle hobby.
Visit to IWM Duxford 2023
James and I visited the Imperial War Museum at Duxford, during the school holiday. An amazing place; get there early and bring plenty of food and drink (although we can recommend the Chilli Dogs!).

Visit to the Haynes Museum in Somerset
มุมมอง 193ปีที่แล้ว
Many of you will remember the Haynes manuals, which helped many of us amateur mechanics repair our cars and motorbikes. After many years of driving and riding past Sparkford, I finally got around to visiting the Haynes Museum. What an amazing place! I wasn't able to video, however I hope these photos give you a taster of the variety and high quality of vehicles they have. The go-kart track next...
Ride to the DeHavilland Museum at Shenley
มุมมอง 48ปีที่แล้ว
A short ride on a day off work to an aircraft museum. Head from Watford to Shenley avoiding the M25. Visit to the DeHavilland Museum for a coffee and cake, and a quick look around. This is the oldest aircraft museum in the UK and worth a visit. Returned to Watford via Shenley Park. GoPro mic failed!
Ride to the Shuttleworth Collection and testing the Insta360 X3!
มุมมอง 96ปีที่แล้ว
A fantastic location, collection and air display of vintage aircraft, and a test of the Insta360 X3 camera. Insta360 tips: Tip 1: Format your SD Card in the X3 before using it Tip 2: A Macbook Air i5 with 8GB just about copes with edits Video very much thrown together due to available time! Must try harder... Link to the Shuttleworth website: www.shuttleworth.org/ More info about the SOE here: ...
Motorcycle tour luggage - Kriega, Lomo and Rhinowalk

A quick video describing most of the luggage and kit that I used during the 2022 France trip. Hope it's useful and feel free to ask any question in the comments. I'll try to remember to answer them!
Ashridge Estate loop motorbike ride
มุมมอง 92ปีที่แล้ว
A short loop ride from Watford through the Ashridge Estate. Chest mount used this time, as I've misplaced the helmet mount so no commentary. Just some engine and wind noise! Start near Warner Brothers Studio (Harry Potter!) and head towards Abbots Langley and Bedmond to Hemel Hempstead. On through Hemel Old Town, Piccott End and then onto the B440 towards Leighton Buzzard. Turn left at Dagnall ...
France motorcycle tour - Ep 12. The Spanish Bit. Police stop and a ferry home.
มุมมอง 161ปีที่แล้ว
I left San Sebastien and followed the coast road to Bilbao. Lots of cyclists and a stop by the police. Got lost trying to find the port and the GoPro crashes again...
France motorcycle tour - Ep 11: Col d'Aubisque to San Sebastian
มุมมอง 90ปีที่แล้ว
I headed back up into the Pyrenees National Park and into the Col d'Aubisque. Unfortunately the cloud was low, so I missed out on the views and had a wet camera lens during the higher sections. As usual, the GoPro froze quite a few times. Hopefully you get an idea of what it's like in the Pyrenees when the conditions are not ideal. San Sebastian looked like a place I'd like to visit again, perh...
France motorcycle tour - Ep10: Col de Tourmalet dans le Pyrenees
มุมมอง 86ปีที่แล้ว
After the GoPro failed a few more times on the journey to the Pyrenees, I missed out filming the campsite at Gerde (Camping de L'Adour). It was the best pitch of the three sites I stayed at, albeit the most grumpy campers ever! The morning began with Scenic taking me on a grand tour around some local villages. Eventually I got onto the main route towards the Col de Tourmalet. The weather was gr...
France motorcycle tour - Ep 9. Alban to Mirepoix. Un beau village (or town?)
มุมมอง 89ปีที่แล้ว
Leaving the Tarn, heading south towards an over-night camp at Gerde, I stopped at Mirepoix for some lunch.
France motorcycle tour - Ep 8. Millau to Alban.
มุมมอง 95ปีที่แล้ว
Heading back to the house after an epic go-kart session.
France motorcycle tour - Ep 7. Kayaking and a shopping ride!
มุมมอง 802 ปีที่แล้ว
Any excuse to go out on the bike! After a brilliant few hours spent kayaking through the Tarn Gorge (another brilliant ride, which I forgot to video), we went home to an empty fridge. Time to the supermarket to grab some lunch! This ride is from Villeneuve sur Tarn to Carrefour at Alban, then return along the D999 dropping down into the Valle du Tarn at Ambialet.
France motorcycle tour - Ep 6. Villeneuve sur Tarn to Millau. Llamas!
มุมมอง 1132 ปีที่แล้ว
We decided to go karting at Millau, and ended up taking the long but pretty route through the Tarn Valley. It's a long (as in time) trip and was very hot; so hot that some paint flaked off the engine. Not happy as the bike is out of warranty. Not sure if this is a build quality issue or not...
France motorcycle tour - Ep 5. Argentat to Villeneuve sur Tarn to see my family
มุมมอง 1022 ปีที่แล้ว
Apologies about the sound quality. I'd lost the mic dead-cat and not realized. Leaving Robin at Argentat to make his way back to Riders Rest B&B, I continued on towards Villeneuve sur Tarn; my base for the next few days. This journey was another 200km on top of the 80km that morning. The GoPro started overheating again after 100km, so I gave up messing about with it and pressed on.
France motorcycle tour - Ep 4. Riders Rest B&B to Argentat for a coffee
มุมมอง 2242 ปีที่แล้ว
Robin from Riders Rest B&B and I went on a ride-out to Argentat. The roads were unfamiliar and twisty but brilliant to ride. We stopped at Auberge des Gabariers for a coffee before I started the long journey to the Tarn region. www.ridersrest.eu/ - highly recommended!

ну тогда цыгане украдут твою сумку вместе с мотоциклом :D
i've been looking at this solution due to my stubborness for not wanting a topbox on my bonneville.
Thank you Sir.

ASMR. Very good content! Thanks for sharing the ride and cheers!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks for the comment Ray. Care to expand on your thoughts?
@@Hertfordshire_Biker His wife ran off with the help.
Hi, can I ask if the Iphone is still fine almost a year later?
Hi Hans. Yes, my same iPhone XR is still working fine. Thanks for asking.
@@Hertfordshire_Biker thank you! Good to know from someone who tested a long period
What screen are you using? Does it help?
Hi Tony. It's a Dart Classic and it moves the wind slightly off your chest at higher speeds. It certainly doesn't turn the bike into a comfortable tourer! I like how it protects the instrument cluster though. Would love to try the Dart Marlin to feel the difference.
@@Hertfordshire_Biker Thank you sir.
What's it like to ride the Speed Twin?
Exhilarating!
Hi , I’m in two minds about buying the affordable lomo you have there and the kreigas you also show. Why did you go the kreiga route ?
I wanted to try both options, as other Kreiga reviews had been good. When touring becomes a reality, I'll probably fit a rack and use both! Kreiga is certainly more "technical" but pricey with it.
Thanks exactly what I need!!
Glad I could help!
Thanks for posting this. Looking for luggage options for my ST. Do you reckon you could fit the 20l or even 30l tail pack on there?
Funnily enough, I've just received the 20L pack. I'll post a video as soon as I can, but from first impressions it should fit nicely. Not sure about the 30L. I don't have one but suspect that may hang over a bit too much.
@@Hertfordshire_Biker Thanks for that. Look forward to the video...
@@Hertfordshire_Biker Did you ever fit the 20l pack?
@@maudwhitbybarry Hi Tony. Yes I did! I used it for a weekend trip from London to Somerset. It didn't rain but fitted the bike well and held enough kit. I'll try and get round to filming it. Apologies for not following up sooner.
