      I dont recommend apple for architecture, u get poor software support, some apps are not yeat released in apple yet, while some are released with half feature, rendering engines on apple comes with slower updates, alwyas seen older version by features on mac. Get AMD 7940HS but not HX for better battery life and windows support.

    Architect here, used to only work on macs, but got frustrated, so I changed to windows and bought a Surface Pro8... I'm really happy with it. Its like having a full desktop and an iPad with an Apple pencil all in one! Only problem is the battery, my wife has an Air like yours and the battery is insane, the surface doesnt come remotly close. I still prefer it though.

      @@adhingrha I had a 2018 iMac and it was great with Archicad, but to render I couldn't use Lumion. Also, to draw I needed an extra iPad. My wife has an M1 MacBook Air and although Rosetta works well enough, Archicad doesn't run smoothly and you can forget architectural rendering for the time being. Mostly I'm happy with my Surface because it's a full on portable PC that turns into a tablet I can bring onsite and to meetings and draw on it in a single machine, with no compatibility issues!

    • @arjunv7767
      @arjunv7767 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey if you are talking about macbook i don't know but for windows i just got my ram upgraded to 16 gb from 8.. honestly speaking 8 gb is kinda enough but after a point it starts glitching or it slows down while running some options and it crashes on multiple occasions so either you will have to turn everything running in the background or while rendering keep the quality a little on the medium side because it directly puts the load on ssd after eating up the whole 8 gb usable ram For me when i use 3ds max my ram usage is around 11 to 13 gb and 14 gb when i am rendering (with chrometabs files explorer everything in the background) that's the best thing about 16gb so if you can go for a higher one you will not regret it get atleast 16 or higher😃

    Hi! I almost use Archicad for 13 years, generally working on single and multi residential buildings on our architectural office. I now have MacBook Pro 15 mid 15 and need to upgrade my computer as soon as possible. I just clear my mind to have a laptop instead of a desktop but still remain in between Mac Vs windows base pc’s. My regular 3D cad program is Archicad. I need to open photoshop and Autocad time to time and intel based MacBooks allow them to operate. Nowadays I also am working with twinmotion like the ease of use of it. On my research, I saw that, MacBooks with Apple silicon (m1, m1 pro and max) chip have problem with operating such these programs. I think apple silicon need time for the users who are professional in architecture and engineering sector. As a very old Mac user, although it’s not rational and logical, I actually choose the programs which work with apple. For example I may tried Lumion which is better for me at interior design renders over exterior instead of twinmotion. I don’t know if I should change my mind and being unprejudecide on windows pc’s. I said at first, I need to have laptop because I sometimes work out of office besides I need to go for a clients place to give a presentation. And I want my computer is also good looking and befit to architect. I finally found one pc that doesn’t only designed with very well hardware also really looks nice. The two devices I remained in between are “MacBook Pro 16 inch M1 max 32gb ram 1 tb ssd” and “dell precision M5760 17 inch uhd 4k intel Xeon w 11955M 32gb ram 1 tb ssd” I wonder what you’re thinking about these laptops for my needs and opinions on my thoughts.
 Thank you in advance

      Continue using windows because of compatibility with architecture / engineering programs that are available only for that plataform,also performance is better on rtx cards. Don't buy precision workstations they are overpriced (I have one)for what they offer.. Buy a gaming laptop or pc and you will be fine. Dell g15 is a great option.
