there's more than skill involved. there was a study for "engagement optimized match making" that shows players are more likely to keep playing with inconsistent results. this incentivizes activision to put players in games where they intentionally put a player in a game where they will perform poorly because then players will think "i usually do good" and want to prove to themselves they can do good again. so cod will give them a couple good games then bad making them question their skill again and continue that cycle. they are exploiting human psychology. they are tracking far more than skill in cod, they are manipulating you to try to get you to keep playing. modern warfare 3 lost players when they widened the skill level because they conditioned bad players to think they're good so obviously they're going to get off when they find out they suck and are repeatedly doing bad. you're dumb if you believe this company's intention when they tried to hide this stuff as much as they have. when i was younger and i was bad i just wanted to get goood, i didn't cry like a baby and get off like activision assumes all bad players do. this is all manipulation for money and that's why they hid it. that's so dumb to think bad players would just quit and there''d only be good players, cod is not that complicated like gunz or something lol, how do you think it got popular in the first place?? like come on. if you're good, youre already in a super competitive bubble? i don't play diverse players what are you guys talking about
